(Quote) Thanks for your replies here, @jgo24 and @liuts! However, please note that this thread's offer here has been withdrawn: (Quote) From now until there is another MetalVPS offer in a new thread, you both have a chance to participate more here …

(Quote) Maybe nobody will want any of the VPs.Se :) Maybe everyone who wants one of the VPSes will have a US bank account and can use Zelle. :) (I'm not sure, but I think Zelle is just US banks.) :)

(Quote) Thanks! I could be wrong, but I think my MetalVPS account is a business account, not a personal account. Free transfers to business accounts went away a year or so ago? Something like that?

In other news, I have continued testing bashvm. I have two Debian and two NetBSD VMs running on one of my Redacted test servers. These VMs were made with bashvm. I look forward to making more VMs on Crunchy! Thanks @crunchbits!

@subenhon Yes, you have a good life because you are interested in many good things. I am glad to hear! Thanks for posting. I look forward to hearing more when the time is right! :)

bashvm works via libvirt. Libvirt is a virtualization API that provides an interface to qemu. Trying bashvm got me interested in looking a little more into the interaction between libvirt and qemu. Conveniently, the libvirt wiki has a page correlati…

@bikegremlin Thanks for posting this! Selling the servers hourly might take away the monthly servers' legally required 14 day cancellation period. :) Perhaps too many people are using servers for multuple days and then cancelling.

So I was wondering just how horribly horrible a yabs would look on an unprivileged user's non-KVM and Qemu default slirp networking VPS. Turns out to be very interesting, doesn't it? File I/O is slow, Geekbench 6 is . . . uh! . . . the lowest I've s…
