Just for recording, Audacity (free) is really good. It is what we use at university to record audios. If you want to record screen, too, try OBS (also free) :)

(Quote) Not aware of any working code atm. I think Koofr stopped accepting discount codes on stacksocial for 90% of their codes

Koofr has been around longer and uses Hetzner. They are more reliable imho. While Internxt continues to improve, I still don't feel like I trust it to be reliable when I need it

Sounds pretty cool! Thanks for sharing, mate :)

(Quote) Thanks for the input, mate. Yeah, the university department I work for seems to be looking for a contact form plugin that allows for double opt-in and is GDPR compliant. I found a double opt-in plugin for WPForms by Borlabs and a Plugin for …

Even more lightweight but more limiting: I used to install Lighthttpd on my Rpi 3B+

(Quote) It was a giveaway during their 4th or 5th birthday iirc :) Have been happy with them ever since. That said, ZAP Hosting, where I have my lifetime vps, also offer lifetime dedi. There's a thread for it where someone from LES got one. Support…

Glad to see this project still going strong! Thanks @Not_Oles and everyone involved for providing this learning environment :D

(Quote) I forgot I had an mostly idling lifetime dedi from Cloudcone in the US. Problem solved :D I really need to make a list of services I have, or I'll forget eventually

Our home internet has DSLite (shared ipv4 and own ipv6 or whatever it was). "DualStack Lite"

(Quote) The Germany and Finland one basically just for secure browsing or accessing services that are whitelisted by ip. I also have a wg server running on my router to access home network. US location would be used for streaming, but since I can't …

Got one in Germany and one in Finland. Both with ZAP Hosting Lifetime vps. Maybe I'll get one in the US at some point.

At that price point, I'd probably shell out some extra euros to get a cheap nat vps for like 5€/yr and host my own. Nothing against the offer, but if I only needed one location, I'd probably host my own. That's just me, though. I'm sure it can work …

Check out Pico strap theme with live canvas plugin. It's really fast. I've heard good things about Generate Press, too :)

(Quote) Similarly, I don't need super high speeds. While I get around 250 Mbit/s max, basically any VPN that gets around 50 Mbit/s is fine for me as I only use it for browsing/streaming unblock.

(Quote) Thanks for clarifying, didn't know that.

(Quote) As per my previous comment, I have more or less stopped using them due to possibly dubious owner. That said, it has always performed quite decent for me. More or less like Ivacy most of the time.

(Quote) Dedicated IP: nope (afaik) Port Forwarding: The last lifetime Deal from Stacksocial for Ivacy that I saw included free pf

(Quote) Haven't. Surely, it's great for privacy, but all I basically use my vpns for is streaming, geo-blocking and in public wifi, so I really couldn't justify paying a recurring fee with the lifetime vpns I have already ticking those boxes :)

(Image) (Quote) I used the App for Wireguard. I don't use FastestVPN apps anymore atm due to some LE members reporting rather negative stories about the owner (dubious/possibly criminal background).

Always happy with Ivacy and Keepsolid :) Can recommend them both. Ivacy I had to contact after 5 years to renew "lifetime" sub. So be aware, that it may end some day if they choose not to renew. That said, the 40$ are a great price even if…

(Quote) Isn't OpenPanel that super-new, still in beta project, that people were having trouble with even to install? I'm not saying it's a bad project, it's just still under development and the features they announce show promise. However, comparing…

Just setup my username the other day :)
