(Quote) Since this is a very "budget" VPN, you can only buy it iirc If you need a free VPN, check out Windscribe free tier, or similar.

You could always get a portable Glinet VPN Router for like 30€ish and have the device you do the torrenting on only get Internet through that router (it does not always have to be connected to the vpn router, but when you torrent it should).

(Quote) Since it's, theoretically, twice the encryption, I'd assume it would.

(Quote) Yeah, it's a nice addition :) Well, the chain is endless. VPN on router level + double vpn on main system + potentially vpn on virtualbox container yada yada + browser extension proxy..

(Quote) Tbh, I think it's mostly marketing, but providers like NordVPN have introduced double-vpn connections as "more secure" VPN connections, because your traffic is encrypted and routed first to one VPN server and then the same request …

It seems like they also added Double-VPN connections: .(Image)

(Quote) VPNUnlimited is my favourite VPN of all the VPNs I am using, too. Doesn't hurt to have some backup lifetime VPN's though. Given that Keepsolid counts devices and you can only remove 1 device per week, I often use FastestVPN as backup on my m…

(Quote) Yeah, I was thinking the same. Given that Internet still is "Neuland" in Germany, this seems like a step in the right direction for Europe.
-
(Quote) I didn't mean to say it's stupid, if it came over that way. Just that I would have loved for it to be more open, so anyone can create projects on there.

(Quote) I also wanted to commend their initative, but I feel like it hasn't been thought out that well and restricting access to EU institution members is kinda..not what I was hoping to see. (Quote) Yeah, edited OP. I got carried away at first, th…

Maybe someone like @MichaelCee could have a look at how migrating services from Virtualizor to Virtfusion could work and then offer such services for a fair (= fair, not 7$) price. It seems there would be demand for this.

This actually made me (finally) sign up on the Pinegrow forum to give feedback and contribute :) This might also be interesting, if you don't know much about Pinegrow's WP Block Building yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vHzjLGnK0c

Damn, I should really start learning Docker. Any decent TL;DR guide, or should I just read the official docs and start hacking?

(Quote) Since I use Iubenda for compliance, I also read their articles a lot and take part in (GDPR)seminars. This might be a good read: https://www.iubenda.com/en/help/72356-google-analytics-4-all-you-need-to-know

Matomo is probably one of the bigger ones. You can also check out Plausible.

(Quote) New major version gets released. Auto updates load...What could go wrong ;) While I agree that probably lots of blogs/sites are running unattended and updates are important for security, one should still be careful. If the website is going …

(Quote) Fair point. Thanks!

@bikegremlin I didn't even have my first coffee yet and already updated the readme :P https://github.com/NicolasLoew/WordPress-plugins/blob/main/local-fontsgdprhelper/readme.md It's probably because, for once, the sun is shining here :)

(Quote) Here's to hoping that my coffee tomorrow morning will somehow make me remember...so much for the theory ;)

(Quote) Thanks for reminding me, mate! Will update the description later if I remember :D If not enough caffeine is left to fuel my productivity today, feel free to create an issue on GitHub so I won't forget :)

Today, I received an email from someone with some questions about the the plugin. Given that people other than me seem to be using this (even though there are other options like GDPRess), I have now also added "legacy" Fontawesome v4 and F…
