(Quote) Happy to hear :) The gf and me are also very happy with the Paper Spigot server as of now. Updated to version 1.18.1 without (much) problems the other day. I got two hours downtime on uptime robot because the server somehow got stuck when re…

Very happy with @MikePT service so far. Good guy and always happy to help :) Servers are stable with solid performance.

Looks awesome! Good luck, mate ;)

(Quote) Thanks for chiming in. I actually have a lifetime dedi (mostly) idling and a lifetime reseller with Mike with more than enough resources available. Still wanted to gift them their own shared hosting plan somewhere else :) I'll wait a bit for…

(Quote) Ouch, Brazil to Asia also sounds like a "fun" route for multiplayer. Yeah, totally get that you would skip this deal then. Maybe they'll change it in the future ;)

(Quote) An on-demand VM with DO/Vultr etc certainly would be another valid and very affordable option for 2 players. I can imagine that bigger servers with at least 15-20+ ppl would need their server to run 24/7 so there the lifetime server would be…

(Quote) Yeah, that definitely makes sense. I also thought about hosting the Minecraft server the gf and myself are playing on on a lifetime dedi I won, but management and securing it can be a pita, so I opted for the ZAP offer (granted a bit cheaper…

Seems like a good merger! Good luck :)

(Quote) I just needed one for 2 people, so it's all good :) That being said, my old Minecraft Host also used the E5-26xx CPU line and while I just needed two slots, on their discord there were also people hosting servers with more players with them …

Added an UptimeRobot link to the OP in case that is of interest to some. Keep in mind the server was purchased around mid-ish of December 2021 and I have scheduled a weekly restart which will, ofc, affect uptime.

(Quote) This is what it says about the Bedrock edition: https://zap-hosting.com/en/minecraft-bedrock-edition-server-hosting/ I assume you can only join that one if you bought Minecraft on a mobile device or the Microsoft Desktop verison (not the Ja…

(Quote) I, too, try to pick providers that are well established when looking for lifetime deals. ZAP Hosting exists since at least 2010, Keepsolid VPN since around 2013(?!), Ivacy VPN since 2009ish, MyW from Mike since 2015 (iirc), Koofr Storage als…

(Quote) I opened a ticket with him and see what/if he'll reply :) Thanks mate! (Quote) Hmmm... MyW allows SSH access sooo... ;) (Quote) Thanks for replying. Yeah, I opened a ticket with Mike, but I don't really expect a reply before Christmas is o…

(Quote) Brazil? I agree that double the price is steep. I can imagine, however, that for ZAP it is much "easier" and/or more affordable to keep up a lifetime server in, say, Germany than very remote countries like Brazil. Then again, they …

(Quote) I got port 2072 :D Some may have gotten a Dedicated IP for that reason and because you have access to the DDOS Manager in FFM (if you have a dedicated IP). For me it doesn't really matter since we are only 2 ppl playing. If it was a server f…

(Quote) They are in business since at least 2010. I know their name since I started hosting Minecraft Servers as a kid many years back. They are established long enough for me to trust them with 50€. Other LTDs I have: Keepsolid VPN (all good) Keep…

(Quote) Checkdomain also still has them: https://www.checkdomain.de/domains/suchen/?domain=qqqqeewee.com.au

(Quote) Thanks for explaining, mate :) In that case I probably will have to open a ticket with @MikePT , then :)

Merry Christmas, everyone! Great games out their! Thanks @Mason <3 Yakuza is a great franchise; I should really finish Yakuza Kiwami already and continue with the other parts :P El Presidente which @Falzo chose, is also a great pick! Loved Trop…

(Quote) I already tried clicking the small space below/above the pop-up. No success.. Yeah, usually I am just too lazy then and just "accept" but still can be annoying if more sites like this one existed.

(Quote) Affinity Designer is a great tool :D

(Quote) Ah, that makes sense. Although, often there is not even an "X" on my screen, or I just don't see it for some websites. There is no visible "X" here, for example: (Image) Yellow button: Accept Grey button: Settings

It's mostly (discontinued) plugins that are affected by this. WP Base Install is usually fairly solid. Add Login via VPN Whitelist and you are already good to go.

Good to know you are still at it! Good luck :)

(Quote) Yes, they seemed a bit more professional this time around. Still not sure whether their legal texts are really that good, though. FWIW, I decided to keep the LTD to see them improving, instead of asking for a refund and regretting it later. …

TL;DR: About 90 minutes fast forward: The seminar is over, some people asked questions, some have already taken a shot.. I have learned yet again that GDPR is still a pita and that the fun is going to continue for a long while.

(Quote) Yeah. I thought the per-country table really is helpful :)

A bit lame, but would Chrome Remote Desktop work? I use it to control my Windows PC from my Chromebook. If Mint has a Chrome browser, it might just work. No hassle at all to setup and works even for gaming remotely. Very stable :) https://remotedes…

(Quote) Cookie Bouncer banner :D Lol. Creative indeed :D Yeah, these days, many people use AdBlockers (and/or cookie blockers) for well known reasons. I agree GDPR doesn't help in this regard, either.

(Quote) Thanks! :)

(Quote) Mind sharing the lists you are using? :) I really liked Vivaldi the last time I used it, so might give it another shot.
