(Quote) Looking good. I guess I won't be dropping WP any time soon (also business related), however I can definitely see the appeal :) I will have to check out Frontity (headless WP) soon. Sounds dope! https://frontity.org/

(Quote) I had a similar problem (layout with little to no distance to blog posts) with my starting page which displayed blog posts using the blog module. I contacted support and they fixed it via remote access and sent me even a Loom video how they …

(Quote) Yeah, cookie banners are basically a must, these days :/ Ah, my bad. Of course, the search bar thing is not the same as a cookie-consent thingy popping up. What I was trying to say is that, because of all the cookie banners that exist nowad…

(Quote) Maybe I have just seen too many cookie-banners, but I can't have it anymore, these days, when my first view of a page (after optionally having clicked a cookie banned) is blocked/limited due to some overlaying content (as here is the searchb…

(Quote) I kind of like Design A more. Looks a bit cleaner/catching imho. In Design B, the search bar and other elements kinda block the view to the picture.

Anyone else has noticed/run into the issue described in this Post in a Divi FB group? I have used LSCache so far, but without (noticeable) issues. (Image) The very same guy tested some Caching Plugins with Divi upon their behaviour on first page …

(Quote) Yeah, still not much a fan of Gutenberg either. Especially vanilla (without any custom block plugins). But even with.. meh.

(Quote) On my own homepage, I currently use WPAstra Theme (Pro) + Gutenberg Blocks+Qubely Pro Pagebuilder (which offers custom Gutenberg Blocks).

Seems like WordPress is gonna refuse plugins with "WP" in their name. WPVivid Backup Plugin comes to mind. https://wptavern.com/wordpress-org-experiments-with-rejecting-plugin-submissions-with-the-wp-prefix-to-mitigate-potential-trademark…

(Quote) Pmed you. I don't do this for free anymore, but I won't charge much either ;)

(Quote) Blocksy definitely makes it look quite "clean&elegant". Good luck!
-
(Quote) Glad you had another look at Blocksy (free). I was also very surprised to see this many "premium" options available for free. Especially felt like everything I was looking for was exactly where I'd imagined it had to be. Thus, very…

Damn, seems like Microsoft is ending Office-App support for Chromebooks soon (forcing chrome os users to use Microsoft's online solution). https://gizmodo.com/microsoft-is-going-to-make-it-difficult-for-chromebook-1847559751

Nice to see this hasn't been lost :) Good luck, mate!

(Quote) All the best, my friend :)

Looking good! Thanks for sharing :)

Also a happy @MikePT client here. Server's snappy and Mike is a good guy ;)

(Quote) I'd also add that, while I haven't really tested GP or OceanWP, Blocksy is very beginner friendly and offers many otherwhise often "premium featues" out of the box. My friend from university (she is usually non-tech savy) is super …

(Quote) Blocksy Theme is free, so shouldn't be an issue :)

People seem really to like Divi's new update: (Image) (Quote) Give Blocksy Theme a try. Really slick & performant :)

(Quote) I don't remember exactly. It must have been 2-3 years ago iirc. I think that was before they had developed their own panel but I am not sure. Iirc they used cPanel with a dead-old cPanel skin back then?!

Siteground wasn't bad when I left them. They were quite decent but I decided to go elsewhere, regardless. For many of my managed clients, I use IONOS which is also a big brand and people seem to trust them since they are well known in Germany.

Hey there, mate. It's good to see you :) To host Python apps, throughout all my courses, Heroku keeps popping up. They also have a free tier to deploy apps. Not an IDE though, afaik. To compile Python code online, so far, I used Programiz ( https:…

(Quote) * Maybe double-check if you need all the Plugins, then :) * Nice! * and 4. I haven't used Centminmod in a looong while (even more because I am a Debian/Ubuntu guy). I assume everything is fine, however vps does not always outperform shar…

(Quote) Managing my phone? Fairly well. Coding Android apps? Never done that before 😂 But there are sites that can turn your website into an app. Have a look at AppGeysr free and similar (will show ads though, iirc?). https://appsgeyser.com/

(Quote) What do you mean, exactly? Do you have a WordPress website with many pages and your guess is that this is what makes it slow in the backend? First, try to review every plugin you are using and question yourself whether you really need it. T…

(Quote) Coming from Yoast this could be interesting! Thanks mate :)

(Quote) Restya looks dope :) Thanks for the tip! For offline usage Kanboard looks nice , but I prefer it synced online :D

(Quote) Everyone hates monday, ugh 😅 On another note, I never used it. Looks decent enough and I have heard the name pop-up ever so often.

(Quote) Probably it boils down to what @MS said :) Personally, I am eager to give Slimseo a try. I think @bikegremlin uses Seo Framework?! I never used Rankmath so can't comment on that one.
