Probably stupid question: But when I change DNS servers for a domain (hosted at a DA server), from the DNS hosted/controlled by DA to some 3rd party nameservers. Then delegation is setup at the registrar, and the world see my changes without issues.…

(Quote) Since I found this easyengine script by searching for centminmod for Debian, I guess I should just study his config files. (I don't really want to build from source and maintain many PHP versions etc.) :)
-
(Quote) Ah, yes, I like the Debian way of a2ensite/a2enmod etc. :) My main interest in a script like this would be if it provides better defaults for optimization of mariadb, nginx settings etc. (I'm not convinced there is much to gain. But I'm not …

(Quote) Maybe I should try that on my NexusBytes VPS by the excellent @seriesn B)

(Quote) Running LXC/OVZ/Docker etc inside a KVM VM actually works well? (I haven't really played with nested virtualization)
-
Not HTTPS, but HTTP + some custom something? Sounds weird ... :p Did try it out a bit on Debian 9. A bit buggy for Apache. Will retry on Debian 10.

(Quote) BTW: How's the OpenBSD dist-upgrade process these days? Any binary package management framework, or just like it used to be back in the 2.x and 3.x days? (I remember upgrading when they switched to ELF binaries, that was interesting IIRC) ;)

Hm, thought I ran a Wordpress installation on a 1 GB KVM VPS for a few years (2014/15-18'ish), might have been mysql, not MariaDB ... Did run nginx.

(Quote) Maybe that's the official policy. I did upgrade a OpenVZ 7 VM from CentOS 7 to 8 without issues.

I like to also have (MikroTik) RouterOS on my switches (in addition to routers and avcess points). Not particularly fond of their SwOS. I think their swotches have competitive pricing. Just got a new PoE switch, but haven't tried it yet.

How much RAM does MariaDB typically use/require, say per average low traffic Wordpress instance?
-
I upgraded a not very small "minimal" centos7 to centos8, it worked, but I couldn't figure out an easy way to identify the orphans/deps I could get rid off easily, it used 1.1 GB of my 5 GB disk space in OVZ7 ...

Did any of you mention where to look for the best and cheapest VPS? For a virtual private server, it should be both cheap and speedy and stable ... Not so sure this really helps the ranking, though ... ;) But I did find a cheap VPS here, by the way!
-
I also prefer minimal to be minimal ... BTW; Any easy way in CentOS to strip away packages to a required minimum? (In Debian I'd use deborphan to help me remove stuff, then save the ouput of dpkg --get-selections and use that with --set-selections…

(Quote) Ah, so, iptables-legacy is just the regular iptables with a tag to identify that it is now considered legacy (nftables being the new) ...
-
iptables-legacy? I thought iptables/netfilter was being replaced with something? :)

(Quote) Not recommended to use with DA / "a panel" IIRC from JetBackups blog/forum/something ... Waiting for the DA version of JetBackup =)
-
Maybe it would be useful with a poll of popular feature requests? (Not sure I'm the best at compiling the suggestions into usable choices.)
-
If you click the subnet link you se IP, gw etc IIRC
-
(Quote) Ooh, I guess it should work with CentOS/whatever as well... :)

(Quote) I think maybe @cam also would be interested in this (seen a similar issue on one server) ...
