(Quote) Not entirely true because you will only get shitty CPU cores until you really scale up for the higher end dedis. Maybe everything else is comparable to a dedi at 14 usd, but no way CPU can compare.

(Quote) That sounds like some Chinese scam. You can almost identify online Chinese identities by their penchant for numbers in the naming. And no, I do not hate Chinese customers.

(Quote) Excellent choice. Why not a Nexus Byte VM though? Or do you have bigger plans for that?

I think it is a whole lot neater to use a per resource price limit. Something like this: * $1 per vCPU per month * $1 per 1GB RAM per month * $0.10 per 1GB SSD storage per month * $0.50 per IP address per month Providers can then advertise like th…

(Quote) Resource pools deserves a wiki entry. I am kind of busy now to write but just thought I will drop a note. I haven't had a need for them but it will be good to explain some use cases.

Just a small note that it should be moved to the Reviews category for neater organization. I like to put things in the correct boxes. :)

(Quote) Why not Windows 10 on the VM? I have one Windows 10 VM on my el cheapo laptop. Works well and less likely to run into issues of backward compatibility.

(Quote) LibreOffice has improved greatly in its interface. It now has tabbed toolbars too. For the price of nothing, you can't beat it.

(Quote) Sounds like another option to try. Maybe I will try this first.

(Quote) I have weaned myself off Windows. It's just that I have to use the latest Adobe CC apps from time to time and I have been looking for a solution that can allow me to quickly boot up a Windows guest that can take advantage of my GPU. I p…

(Quote) I use virtualbox now, but my issue is that it doesn't support GPU passthrough into the Windows VM. I have a GTX1070 that I would like to passthrough into the Windows VM for Adobe apps to take advantage of. Not that I do it often, but I …

(Quote) I guess this will be an interesting year-end experiment to see how well it performs. I think you should be able to VNC or RDP into the Windows guest with GPU passed to it if you don't have an extra monitor, just that resolution may be a…

Maybe I am old school but I think a mobile browser works fine, and I can choose browsers that blocks third party cookies and java scripts that I do not explicitly allow. I don't like native apps if there's a web equivalent for this reason.

(Quote) Too much work, unless you can volunteer developing it.

So nice to look forward to a bunch of small, incremental fixes every few days that just kicks the UX up a notch each time. Getting awesomer and awesomer.

Last year's MXroute.com BF offer is still valid: https://portal.mxroute.com/cart.php?gid=13. The promo price is way cheaper than a VPS, you can do what you need, and most importantly, as other have pointed out, you will save a lot of emotional …

Canvassing some views from the trustworthy LES crowd as I just saw the Hostsailor BF deals. Can anyone vouch for their customer service and product reliability?

(Quote) Indeed. This is also the reason why the number 100 winner wasn't literally the number 100 based on vanilla's number stamp. This was already declared upfront many days earlier. This is also the reason why if you trace the thread, I …
