I would go to WHT when I need PHP 5 shared hosting, but it's PHP 7 now so I no longer look there.

(Quote) You can enforce the users accessing emails via the proxy. The proxy IMAP server shall be deployed in the cloud, so that it's always accessible. It streams a copy of every message to the on-premise archive database.

(Quote) No need to migrate. Pull a HostSlick: * Delete old servers, without telling the user. * Create empty servers. * Send email that says "hard drive failure", and provide an extra "free" month.

(Quote) This is a disaster waiting to happen. If a user's account is used to send illegal email (e.g. leaking corporate secrets), the user can deny they ever sent such email because they could argue to the court that someone else knows the pass…

(Quote) I drink Diet Coke ® only so there's no calories. I have dozens of push-up videos. When I figure out Shaka Packager, I'll upload them. My blog only needs 3GB transfer monthly. Video is the only way to use more of those 500GB+ month…

(Quote) I don't even know which CPU my boxes have. Ryzen or not, if I'm not allowed to use 100% at all times, it doesn't make a difference. The only time I notice a limitation in CPU is on Virmach. (Quote) If only Hetzner is in Los …

Looks like I'll have to send new tablets to my website visitors.

I have only one .com currently at Cloudflare. Do I spend 10 minutes to move the domain and risk a website outage to save a dollar, or do I drink two fewer cans of Coca-Cola to save a dollar and use the 10 minutes to do push-ups?

(Quote) cociu needs to do push-ups for late delivery. number of push-ups = number of days late ✖️ number of affected orders As far as we know, Norway doesn't have potatoes. Thus, do the push-ups with a salmon instead.

(Quote) The world needs more push-ups. * Box not delivered? Push-ups while waiting. * Network is slow? Push-ups in front of the Ethernet adapter. * Disk is slow? Push-ups in front of the drive bay. * CPU score is low? Push-ups in front of the SSH t…

(Quote) (Image) Push-ups solve all the problems. Do 196 push-ups tonight. You'll be sore for 4 days, and then Norway is delivered.

(Quote) Most "projects" don't need their own domains. Subdomains are good enough. In the past, you need a short domain to put on billboards and radios. Nowadays, the URI is in hyperlink or QR code or search engine, so that longer path…

* Get a free domain. * Put in the effort to build up the website. * Find out that renewal is expensive. * Dilemma: pay the $35 or lose the traffic? * Unless, it's for a scam operation? Also, my vegan friends and Muslim friends and Indian frien…

(Quote) Texting is not enough. I can get the equivalent by chatting with Alexa and Siri. She needs to visit my grandpa with me. Grandpa pays flight ticket and quarantine fee. (Quote) I hear SolusVM is incompatible with dual storage boxes.

I'm looking forward to: * double RAM from https://mzunguhosting.ml/ * double bandwidth from https://yoursunny-summer-host.cf/ * 70% off from @MaxKVM * Mac Mini at $0.50/hour * half price chicken, either the kind with dedicated EPYC cores, or t…

Hurricane Electric DNS supports dynamic updates of A and AAAA records though the dyndns protocol. I delegated a subdomain to HE and configured the home router to send updates there, so that I can connect to the home router from outside.

(Quote) Windows offering should default to Windows Core. All you get is a PowerShell. No desktop. Bonus point: disable RDP and allow access to that PowerShell over SSH. The RDP in Los Angeles is slower than SSH in Singapore, from East Coast USA.
