What do you wish for Black Friday 2025?
There is one month and 2 weeks left until Black Friday of 2025. What you wish to obtain during such event?
I believe such question needs to be asked beforehand, so that providers may have some time to do a bit of mathematical gymnastics, to try to find the cheapest parts, to order and ship them, then design the offers adjusted to what customers want.
Personally I struggle in thinking about renewing the storm of invoices that is about to come (from orders in the past completed out of hype or out of fear of missing out). With this in mind, I don't think that I need anything. However, maybe others do need some specific offers, besides that usual unicorn of $7/year.

Cheap and reliable yearly VPS
1 core
1024 MB DDR4 RAM
10+ GB decent SSD
IPv4 + IPv6
(definitely not going to use it as a image dump for hotlinking)
Some ddr5 offers with decent nvme.
Ah, thanks for the reminder! Updated my wish as well to contain DDR4 and decent SSD... dont want none of those slower-then-hard-disk SSDs...
Some deals in the Czech republic!

Unlikely, so far nothing in Czech.
The closest we had was Poland and Bratislava.
Lithuania and Talin was up for grabs though.

this year ... nothing
since the scam i had, i unlinked my PP account.
have to consider what i already have and may cancel redundant.
so nothing.
I want either a Canadian or EU-besides-Germany VPS with IPv4, having 2TB+ monthly traffic, and that costs $15, maaaaaybe $20/year, from a reliable provider. No other stats really matter, because I just want some more "permanent" wireguard nodes (I have one on the West coast of US, one in Germany, but others have been less than reliable or the providers end up deadpooling).
apt mooUsually there are some really good deals, with either less than $10 yearly renewal, or a plan with a lot of resources at a good price. I hope some of these deals are on the East Coast, since I have too many deals located on the West Coast that I don't need anymore of them.
As always, unsustainable deals.
I don't think it is a very good idea to have a porn actress as theme. We can't go that far into the lewd content. Or... can we?

VDS with 10+GB RAM, 100+GB disk, as many fast cores as possible (not ten year old xeon shit), for ~$15/month. (I'd do $25 but I need cores more than I need RAM, 32GB is a waste for me)
You are in the wrong community. Those specs are not LowEnd...
I want good specs for lowend price
waiting.wordpress theme discount
$15 or $25 per month is over the offer limit of $7/month for general offers... Unless it is a special offer... in which case, the prices can be $1,073,741,824 for all anyone cares...
(No, that number isn't specific. You are just unfamiliar with other number systems)
Hmm should the Yeti participate as a provider?

Yes! I need hosting for my images
I want many micro VPS (256-512MB Ram / 5-10GB Disk / 3+ TB bandwith) scattered around the globe for 3$/year each. Or a bundle of 5 for 12$, a bundle of 10 for 21$. 🙊

Ideally, I’d like to consolidate some of my VPSes into one dedicated server. The issue is that I’m worried about violating any ToS or FUP due to excessive CPU usage, so I’m looking to move those services to a dedi to avoid that. Hopefully, OVH does another round of KS-Mysterys soon.

Maybe a VPS NAT bundle for a (low vol) scraping project. And perhaps one for a proxy in a fresh jurisdiction. UK blocking imgur and stuff kinda annoyed me. Currently using Germany but not convinced that's gonna hold long term. Question is where...needs to be reasonably close to UK yet outside EU.
Probably bunny.net credits...they sometimes do +25%. And renew mxroute ancient BF...though don't really use it lol
VDS isn't a VPS, limit for dedis is $99/mo which I assume also applies to VDSes since a VDS is closer to a dedi than to a VPS.
VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) is basically just a KVM VPS with (supposedly) dedicated resources.
Many hosting companies use "VDS" and "VPS" interchangeably for marketing since "VDS" just sounds fancier.
In theory, a VDS should have dedicated CPU cores, RAM, and possibly disk I/O, so your performance isn’t affected by others on the same node.
So if I have an 8-core, 32 GB RAM dedicated server, I could split it into 2x 4-core, 16 GB VDS instances, each with fully reserved resources.
However, nothing actually stops someone from splitting that same server into 8x 4-core, 16 GB "VDS" and selling them as "dedicated" either.
Unless you have access to the underlying hardware or know exactly who else is hosted on that node, a VDS is, for all practical purposes… still a KVM or Hyper-V VPS.

I would take that, as long as it's in one of the faster internet countries!
I'm considering the same, the problem I'm seeing with this plan is dedis are way more expensive than my lowend VPSs. I'm at around $120/yr with my current VPSs and the cheapest dedi I've seen is kimsufi at $20/mo. Hoping for some BF deals.
Big booty Spanish Chickas that @Chievo promised me a year ago. Also cheap dedis I with lots of storages.

DDR4 is so yesterday. Go for DDR5 with no less then 6400 MHz. Have it on the edge!
I'd like to add some VPS in Africa and South America to the fleet. Have been looking for servers in Kenya, Ghana and Tanzania today, but most providers from these countries seem to host their infrastructure in Europe and/or don't support IPv6.
And stuff is expensive af there...

Kenya is available with Selectel for not so expensive
(or via what they're reselling: https://servercore.com/services/cloud-servers/)

Looking back in the events of last year, I noticed something interesting: some of the best offers were from @host_c provider from Romania, but over the past year they did not even try to capitalise on all that SEO. As an example HOST-C.com still has no website, not even a Romanian language version. I was expecting from them to grab some cheap open-source template and deploy it as a website containing some company information, some terms (hosting terms, cloud terms, AUP, privacy) and some offers to attract possible customers reading all the favourable reviews and benchmarks which recommended them so far. Instead, I still see no website one year later.
This intrigues me: @host_c - are you well mate? Another Black Friday is coming and you had quite some great reviews last year - you might want to take a couple of days and make a quick website. There are even plugins of Wordpress to fill it fast with data using AI. But then again, what do I know? I'm not operating a hosting business.

I want to migrate two of my "unicorn" VPS which has 2 core Ryzen processor (or a newer Intel CPU equivalent) with 3GB RAM and ~50GB storage priced at ~30 USD/y paid via crypto. My current host's uptime is currently not good at all.
You probably saw me somewhere...
Keeping an eye out for a filen.io and pcloud.com lifetime discount.
Both if possible, for a not-huge amoun of storage.
Just to test both a bit more and see how it works out for my use case.
