OVH doubling VPS prices for existing customers?

I have read about 5 posts on Reddit so far with people showing renewal invoices with price increases between 85 and 100% increase on Thier VPS prices.
Anyone seen any announcements?
If it's a mistake it's causing a lot of outrage

I doubt it, maybe the people were on 1 year commitments to get discounts that ended after the pre-paid commit term?

We know TierHive locations are on OVH.
Is token devaluation coming?
best of "yoursunny lore" by Google AI 🤣 affbrr
My legacy VPS hasn't received price increase notification, yet. It was ordered before OVH introduced yearly contract pricing for VPS.
Let's hope OVH won't increase price of ancient hardware because of AI boom.
No but we might shift the original plan away from every OVH location being an important first milestone.
Finland anyone? hsha

Damn, that's a steep increase.
Seeing all the price increases from different providers due to ram/disk space, while I have 4 lifetime vps with ZAP and just hope they won't go out of business

Big hosts will either increase now if they plan Thier profits and losses 3 years in advance as many big enterprise does, or the bigger cash ritch ones will wait it out so they have all the customers when baseline resets.
Interesting year ahead

I can see many small/middle-sized businesses going bankrupt due to lack of calculations/savings. Quite unfortunate, but sort of bound to happen in the next 3 years.

Maybe, I have been thinking about it, it's the big small business and small mediums that are probably going to go pop first sadly.
I think the play is if you are already profitable, you do nothing, you don't expand, you don't take risk, you do nothing, you own what you own, you just try to make your operation lean out at a higher rate that electricity cost increases.
If you have loans that depends on growth to pay... Oh dear.

I purchased VPS-1 two months ago, located in the Canada datacenter, with annual billing. I’m not sure whether the price will increase…
I don't think it can legally until the end of your current contract.

Yep, if you paid for 1 year, you'll still enjoy the service at the current rate until it's time for renewal... So look for an alternative fast!
