Colocation Suggestion for NL
I have been using one provider in NL for few years. Its more of a one man show. Need to move with some reputable with provider which has staff that responds. Any suggesstions for colocating in NL would be helpful.

in the start ill go for single colo to test out but eventually go for full rack later.

If you plan to offer the vms in NL, don't go with hostslick or slim.
We dont do and dont want any Colocation customers. Its pain and not worth it If you dont own the Datacenter yourself. Same goes for related Services like IP Transit over just a few Gbit (at best via IX, wtf?). Not Interested. Not gonna deal with that
We are strictly Dedicated Servers only now.

Still at Alsycon? Why dont you contact the datacenter they are re-selling (Dataone/Reinier?) and take some full rack(s) and grow a bit.
They will respond
And Hostslim, we used it many years ago. I wouldnt do it again looking back at it.
Stay at Alyscon then if your still some units only. Should be better.
There isnt much choices today if you just want a few Units. So in most cases you will always end up at some reseller that wont have the fastest response times if thats your priority. Adding that it might not be really worth it for the provider. Dont think this is a easy business.

thanks @HostSlick ...i appreciate you guidance...may be i should wait a bit and go for a full rack. I am not sure which dc they are using but obviosly getting resellers all the way with very high price for power. All the quotes i got are not feasible for the business model.

yes you need to scale up. I was once in the same situation when i was smaller.
And yes, as you see, i also ended up back then with a Reseller... Hostslim.
You need to think about volume, many servers, not just a few. Same with transit etc etc.

A few months ago i had a big corporate DC which wanted us, offer a 48 Rack Private Suite with 80KW Power included for like 25k a month and 300€ per KW for additional usage. Limit 200KW on the suite.
While some other people i know wanting only one rack getting quoted 600€ per KW from the same DC.
Im well covered but lol. Just a example.
Lets save up some cash and buy servers for the first rack and get the sales going.
And dont just do the 0815 "cheap dedicated servers" thing. I highly recommend against it.
More and more clients you wouldnt want to be your main business will come and make your life hard.
Same goes for VPS - even more.
Even harder with those when some bad times occur. Dont be the crackwhore for the wrong clients.

Dont trust any of the resellers that want to re-sell you their datacenter space . Some are coons. Try go with datacenters directly.
Maybe their colocation offers can be fine. Just not for critical things like hosting businesses.
At the same time i wouldnt want to re-sell space too as a hosting business. I wrote it above.
If you can commit a Rack at least and get some hardware to fill up some space, you can also check Skylink. They are currently expanding the datacenter and have new Racks available soon.
Rack starts at 250eur. + Setup fee 250eur. Power currently 0,32€/kwh. Staff onsite and no rip off on remote hands.
And corporate DCs are like above example i gave are cunts for small businesses.
So its hard for the small players
