Edit to update: Oh! Now I see that I can set "Karma flare" to "Off". That seems to remove the luminous thread themes. I have to try all the Karma Flare settings again to see what else changes, if anything. Thanks and sorry for the noise!
Original post: As a friendly gesture, may I please add one additional voice in favor of discontinuing the "luminous" thread themes shown in the screenshot below? The glow almost caused me to miss the fun new-style post about in browser VMs. Sorry if I missed something about how these might be disabled. You no longer need to use imgur etc, please, stop using them
Just right-click or screenshot and copy-paste the image into the comment box and it will auto-upload and convert to a forum-optimised WebP file (Gifs included) max filesize 5MB
You can also upload using the picture icon on the comment box and even give the image whatever alt tags you want (Optional)
External image links still work too.
Uploading images still do not show up for me. Some permission issue maybe?

It's fun, but a bit hard to read some of the text. Maybe we can follow the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)? I'm no designer, so I can't do much here- just some suggestions.
