Sorry - google ads

Sorry.
Apparently, when setting up the account/property in the AdSense Manager, experiments by Google are enabled as standard, and they decided to enable them on the site.
I found my way through the labyrinth of options and killed it.
Back to only showing for none logged-in users.
I will be getting rid of it altogether pretty soon; I really don't like Google.
Ant.

That's sad, because Google is the only company we can trust our private data. /s
Try Ezoic. LES can get better revenue with them, maybe.
Ezoic require 250,000+ monthly active users; LES is probably too niche for them.
For general advertising on non-huge sites, Google is (sadly) about the best deal in town.
guess its going to be TinyAdz or DIY then because at this stage... i really have had enough of google.

@AnthonySmith can we have community sponsored banner/image? Maybe I can allocate $1-2/m if LESbians see memes
Yeah, probably something like that, sell some squares. have something in them or keep them blank, choice will be yours, just the edge of a whisper of a thought right now.

Ezoic requires DNS access last time I checked.
They seem quite shady to me overall.
Having said that, Mediavine is OK but does not work with forums categorically, so Google is the only remotely decent option.

When I worked with them, they asked access to DNS config because they put a cache in front of the site for "optimization" purposes, but it wasn't required. Anyway the company I worked for agreed to change the DNS because thousands of dollars started to arrive every month. Until Google said not anymore, and killed the traffic (from millions of visits to thousands).
@AnthonySmith what about Carbon Ads? Years ago it was a well known name in the industry. Not sure where are they now.
I say, let's install some self-hosted ad manager and let users to pay with karma, and providers to pay with real dollarz. It will be fun.
I guess both can use both, idk might just not bother at this stage.
I still need to move the email and then it's just the VPS and domain.
Unless I can increase traffic there is not much point in money.

It is not for optim they want to serve your entire site ''first party'' to bypass adblock and various other abusive tracking methods. It also slows things down far.
I would think that's by far the most profitable. Auction off spots to providers rather than google's generic rates. Way better alignment with audience
