Make a server verify clone and email @Neoon for yabs.
Make search in category (not global) or search in single thread or search in messages by single user.
Global search results in too much nonsense for such a large forum. When I try to find something specific, it's impossible...
Admin edit: Threshold reached, and request implemented.
Make search function which supports regex + date from & to. Also don't truncate the response
Make it suck less.

Make it possible to ignore specific threads/topics.
A short page somewhere that explains what "winner", "platinum", "popular" etc. actually represent (I.e. an explanation of the ruleset behind the scenes that defines these).
Could just be included on the about page!
I started adding a little bit of the tag stuff to the about page (at least for now if Ant wants to do something different)
But I need to fill in the blanks/make corrections as I'm not 100% sure myself

And make it possible to ignore/block specific users.
(Or was that already added as a feature? I think there was some discussion at least ...🤔 I don't see the option ...)
You can do that via the user's profile.

Oh, in Dark Theme on mobile, I have to click large "Edit Profile" button to get/see that option
Request to hide new user threads/possibly the new providers threads
Edit: or at least have it be in its own sub-category that's not on the homepage if that setting is enabled
Hey teamacc. You're a dick. (c) Jon Biloh, 2020.
I am torn with the new member idea. On one hand, I love that it forces a public introduction and that it takes the burden off mods to approve users.
On the other hand, most if not all of the community banned users I would have probably approved if there was no double accounts or sketchy stuff.
The real question is why are people getting down voted?
For example this thread: https://lowendspirit.com/discussion/11142/new-member-ilove#latest
To me it seems like they were down voted simply because English isn't a strong point of theirs to articulate proper answers.
Is that the qualifying factor for being a member of LES?
Then we have comments like the one by @somik
Are votes a true factor if they are just thrown either way willy nilly like that?
I honestly don't have a better recommendation but I look forward to the discussion thread so I can see people's thoughts.

I was trying to prove a point. That being the member votes are not a reliable way to approve new members.
And I totally agree with you on the fact that members are being banned willy nilly...
Yep, I'm guessing there's a lot of others who aren't vocal downvoting/up voting for x y reason too. But I do really like the framework of the idea

Fixed the typos. Carry on.

It's hard to tell if the user is a real person, especially when they don't respond. I get wanting to avoid spammers and AI, but if we're also trying to grow the community, banning the majority of new users isn't going in the right direction. I don't have a silver bullet, just sharing my thoughts.
Hi!
I used to be able to find on my profile a link for a list of all my posts and another link for a list of all my comments. These lists made it easy to find my recent posts and comments. Now, when I click View Profile I go to my new, very nice Provider profile. But I don't know where nowadays to find my posts and comments histories. Help, please! Thanks!
Thanks!
Tom
You should have those links in the right sidebar.
Hi @jaden! Thanks for helping!
Here is what I see. It says my post total, but, apparently, no links to my thread or comment history?
Interesting, it could be an issue with the theme. Maybe try using the light theme temporarily to see if they show up?
This is what I see (and they're links):
@Not_Oles I was curious so I tried switching themes but I always had those links in the sidebar. It looks like you have a different profile page because you're considered a provider, and for some reason provider profiles don't have those links.
@jaden Thanks for further research and testing! Maybe I am missing something. We will see before too long I bet! Thanks again!
Perhaps it's just me (!), but I've accidentally clicked "Mark All Read" a couple of times when I intended to click on (the leftmost) "LOWEND SPIRIT". My request would be to move "Mark All Read" to the rightmost position (after "Support") to keep it more "out of the way"

The provider profile does not have those links, but you can still view and access them via https://lowendspirit.com/profile/discussions/Not_Oles.

Frankly, in my view, it's not working as intended, not to mention that the questions are silly (and partly redundant: Why do you want to join? vs Why do you want to join this forum?)
To me, it seems like a poorly thought-out initiation rite at a third-class boarding school, and if I were a newcomer, I would run in the opposite direction as quickly as possible and never look back
(I would not have passed the initiation rite)
(Sorry for my frankness)

Requesting feature:
Favorite symbol for a post, viewable only by the user which faved it
Admin edit: Bookmark specific posts within threads.
Use the star on thread?
Troublesome if it's on the cest pit
do you mean like bookmarking a post within a thread rather than a whole thread?

That's correct.
