New 1Gbps UK KVM / Storage from £18/yr / Compute from £2.87/mo on Annual Promo

Hi all,
We have launched 1Gbps networking across our UK KVM range. Every new plan below ships with it, bursting to near line rate, included in the price.
Storage plans
| Plan | Data disk | Normal | With VH70ANNUAL |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1TB Storage | 1TB | £60/yr | £18/yr |
| 2TB Storage | 2TB | £115/yr | £34.50/yr |
| 5TB Storage | 5TB | £290/yr | £87/yr |
| 10TB Storage | 10TB | £575/yr | £172.50/yr |
Every storage plan comes with 2 vCPU, 2GB RAM and a 25GB SSD OS disk alongside the bulk data disk.
5TB and 10TB are available monthly at £29 and £57.50, or £11.60 and £23.00 with VH60MONTH. The 1TB and 2TB plans are only available annually due to payment processing fees making monthly impossible at these discounted rates.
Compute plans
| Plan | Normal | With VH70ANNUAL | Monthly | With VH60MONTH |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 vCPU / 2GB | £115/yr | £34.50/yr | £11.50 | n/a |
| 2 vCPU / 4GB | £230/yr | £69/yr | £23.00 | £9.20 |
| 4 vCPU / 8GB | £460/yr | £138/yr | £46.00 | £18.40 |
| 8 vCPU / 16GB | £690/yr | £207/yr | £69.00 | £27.60 |
25GB SSD root disk on all-flash. One vCPU is a real Xeon Gold core, capped so your neighbours cannot eat it.
Promo codes
- VH70ANNUAL - 70% off annual, every plan
- VH60MONTH - 60% off monthly, on 2C/4G and above plus 5TB and 10TB storage
Both codes apply on every renewal for the life of the server, so you keep the price you signed up at. Anyone already on any of our older plans can upgrade by paying the annual difference and extending to a full 1 year plan - open a ticket if you want this.
What you get
- UK located, Dell PowerEdge, Intel Xeon Gold
- 1Gbps networking, bursting to near line rate
- 5TB monthly transfer
- Dedicated IPv4 included, IPv6 /64 on request
- Multiple OS images, deployed straight from the panel
The large data disks on the storage plans are bulk archive storage, built for capacity rather than fast random I/O.

After using the storage line for more than 2 months, I can say their SSD storage is solid. The HDD is so-so, but totally usable for WAL or daily backup with NVME acting as buffer.
Hello again!
Is custom iso supported now? (or at least normal install from ISO with updated choices like debian 13 ubuntu 24/26, etc to choose from, to custom install with encryption enabled for example)
Thanks

Sorry, it was SSD
Could you also run a YABS on the HDD partition/volume? Just to get a sense of how it performs.
@ViveHosting - could you clarify on what RAID level you use for the SSD (OS) and HDD (data) volumes? Also, it it NVMe cached (as pointed out by @rpqu )?
It would be nice if you could post a YABS as well (with both SSD and HDD partitions).
Finally a test IP or looking glass URL please!
Thanks and GLWS!
It's not NVME cached.
I think it's only fair to flag up that last years deal - 2 vCPU / 4 GB RAM for £15 a year - silently went up to £40 on renewal.
Now, I have to concede that the offer post never said it was recurring (although it didn't say it was a one-time deal either) but if I was going to keep the service I'd be pretty irked by that.
That said, they did seem to keep the service open quite a while until I finally got an email telling me I hadn't paid them, so I guess it's not all bad!
Correct, it's SSD backed and not NVME on these boxes.
We do have some NVME nodes but this isn't part of it.
On this configuration both are ZFS, effectively RAID10 with striped mirrors and hot spares for our SSD nodes (of which we have multiple).
The HDD storage has triple parity on each physical box (we have multiple boxes).
Both have SLOG devices, etc.
@ahnlak You shouldn't see a price jump like this - you should still be on the same pricing.
Our new 1Gbps plans have increased slightly in price but any existing plans should retain their original pricing for life.
Ping us a support ticket and we'll get things adjusted for you.

Cheers; nice to know it's an error rather than policy - no need to bother support, I let it lapse; never really sorted it back out after the weird memory stuff a few months ago anyway.
crickets
what kind of speed can I expect to and from a new york vps for the 1TB Storage 1TB £60/yr £18/yr
What are the specs on the node? Raid 1 for SSDs and RAID what for HDDs? My question basically is what kind of redundancies do you have for hardware failures on the storage (os and cold) side?
This is impossible to answer accurately. In theory you should be able to achieve near 1Gbps but realistically it'll be below that.
A previous YABS further up in this post shows 422Mbps to NY but you'll likely find that number to vary between tests.
I mentioned this above...
On this configuration both are ZFS, effectively RAID10 with striped mirrors and hot spares for our SSD nodes (of which we have multiple).
The HDD storage has triple parity on each physical box (we have multiple boxes).

My bad for being blind to this, thanks for answering again!
