If you test Alpine services in a container, OpenRC's liveness check is kill -0: when PID 1 doesn't reap, a killed daemon becomes a zombie and rc-status still reports it running. Two failed test runs before I re-ran with --init. Never shows up on a real box where openrc is PID 1.
oh god... here we go then, Alpine will fork if they do this, unless all the people in control truly respect each other and just set up and maintain 2 different optional paths in 1 distro (won't happen) bets on the name of the OpenRC fork name? Alpmin ?
