Just a quick one; only posting it here.

As its a new location launch day and the last bank holiday of the year (excluding christmas) For the rest of the day there is a 10% bonus on any tokens purchased, it is applied pre checkout so if you top up $3 you get 3.3 tokens, if you add $10 you get 11 tokens etc etc.

New Location: France Gravelines. This location is up to 8GB Ram (now) and will also probably be the first to move to 16GB Ram configs with up to 4 vCPU in the neer future.

Seemed odd to go to a 3rd location in France, but honestly it's ridiculously popular all the time and often out of stock, so we figured why not. For those who want bigger configs in France, this might be good to migrate to, and it may reduce some pressure on the other 2 locations.

Again as a reminder, TierHive is hourly, and when shut down you only pay for the storage.

The cheapest config is available at around $0.10 per month with low priority and 128mb ram and 1gb disk.

The most expensive (none storage option) is: 8GB Ram, 2vcpu, 50 GB disk, high priority everything and that is around $6 per month.

Currently 8GB Ram plans are available in Gravelines FR, Germany, Canada and Australia only, everywhere is is limited to 4GB.

If @KuJoe from Securedragon ever wakes up again (and updates his website), he has servers in Florida. Might be worth a contact to see if it's a good connection.
The last time I used a VPS from Securedragon in Miami, Florida... it had a really good connection to Europe.

To be honest I would be looking for a dedicated not a VPS, I think we have pretty much reached a conclusion on VPS/VDS for nodes, its not viable, with the exception of AdvinServers who did us an excellent deal on Kansas and even then frankly, we are not a good customer noise wise and its not really right to run services like that.

We tested a couple of locations with @hosthatch the performance is crazy good, possibly the best I have ever seen, but price to resources wise, it may not work out, the test still has a little while to run yet but its never going to be something we are crazy about doing unless absolutley no other options exist for a location.

May be check melbicom. Different spaces for DC . More exótic Latvia,Italy etc. You know better what hardware and price you would need but checking does not hurt at all . In the worst case scenario you would have more information about more exótic places.

Bulgaria has grown really hard for better or worse . Salaries has skyrocketed. 2000-4000 euros per months is not a miracle . Obviously the level of the properties,prices for restaurants ,services are x4 or X5 respect 15 years ago . 2010 or so a nice restaursnt menú was 25 euros per a couple . Now 120-140 euros for the same so yeah. Literally they have more money but the prices are higher. So essentially in a couple of years Bulgaria would be ahead economically respect Spain Which basically is living permanente crisis from 2007 . Aka the Bubble burst . Salaries are not moving prices are so basically essentially .....not doing great let s say.

For Bulgaria you can check jump.bg and powerhost.bg around 80 euros decent dedis. It s Up to you ..you know your requirements

I meant that he could give you a contact in that DC or rent a dedi in his rack or something.

Bulgaria ... HA ...

Made me remember when I had a VPS running for MrVM with some provider in Romania ... they auto stopped the VPS when they thought it was abusing the node ...
Had to write a cron scheduler to check via API if the server was running or not and start it if it was stopped.

Check every 15 minutes ....
It worked, but wasn't a viable solution

wow i've been use tierhive for my work and i happy use this because when we are off working we can shutdown and the billing is goes down, i wonder how much the price for 4vCpu in the future

We will probably just do 3 vCPU for 12GB+ and 4 vCPU at 16GB, no extra cost it's built into the RAM price, so it scales predictably.

Just please remember its still Alpha we have not managed more than 20 days so far without a service-impacting issue of some kind, and currently it's 0 days without. While many are minor, currently you should not put all your eggs in our basket, only saying as you mentioned your work.

thanks for the suggestion, yes while is not all eggs in same basket, it help boost my work productivity. fully understand the upgrading the service for more vCPU will take time, but i think it worth to wait. good luck
