Cloady: free trial available again; free tier temporarily paused
Update — November 4, 2026: free trial available again; free tier remains temporarily paused.
Free trials are available again in selected regions. The ongoing free tier remains temporarily paused. The trial lasts one month for an eligible first app; paid hosting is required to continue afterward. Existing accounts continue within their established limits. Check cloady.com for current availability and limits.
Hi LES, I am Georgii, the person behind Cloady at NeptoLab. Cloady is a managed application and database hosting platform.
What the platform supports
- Deploy from a GitHub repo, Docker image, uploaded source files or template
- Run an app and its database together
- Persistent volumes, custom domains with HTTPS, logs and a browser terminal
This is a managed container platform, not a root-access VPS. Check the website for current availability and the resource calculator before choosing resources.
For an existing project, test a copy first: check environment variables, volume mounts and logs, and test restoring your database backup before moving production traffic.

Thank you to everyone who raised sustainability concerns. The ongoing free tier was not sustainable in its previous form, so it remains temporarily paused. Moderators are welcome to move or close this thread if it no longer fits this section.

You should set up a requirement that a card needs to be bound for verification or payment of $0.5. Otherwise, there will definitely be people who abuse this system.
I just created an application and the process was super smooth! How do I deploy from private Docker images?
This look very interesting, but what about sustainability. letting the reins free will definitely lead to system abuse.
I tried deploying in Singapore, but the IP I get is always from the US. Is this a bug?

Just to echo the statements on free tier, those can be a hassle. Some requirements or limitations might make it a better experience for the people you want to eventually become paying customers.
Why are you charging per app instead of just for a resource pool? With caliber node I just pay for a subscription that lets me run as many apps as I can fit and can even stop and start them to create additional ones that I can switch out running.
Unless I’m missing something once you get past the free tier 1 core and 1gb of ram is $6.67 per month with you while they only charge $4 for 2 cores / 2gb of ram / 30gb disk and most importantly I can use as many apps as I want to. Not to mention their free 4 app bring your own hardware plan and ongoing promotions on discord.

Thanks for sharing! This looks interesting for running small Docker services.
Just two quick questions:
I run a few small self-hosted services and automation tasks, so these would be useful to know before giving it a try.
I've been looking for something like this myself but ultimately I decided to create an account with Caliber Node because I preferred their way of paying for resources rather than each app.
Same, I’ve been extremely happy with their product and service. So far I have only been using them a little over a month but caliber node is by far my favorite provider. This last week they had some insane deals on discord, now I have enough cpu and ram to last a long time 😂
I'll have to set up a discord account and keep an eye out. Thanks for the heads up.
Since no card is required to use the free tier, if the app exceeds 200GB outbound, is the app suspended until the next month, or will I be billed afterwards to upgrade the app to the equivalent paid tier, which would include unlimited traffic?
Is it possible to place the apps with custom domains behind Cloudflare, or any other CDN? Although incoming traffic is unlimited, feels inappropriate for your service to defend against a (unlikely) DDoS attack.
Does your service sleep free tier apps after a certain period of inactivity? Beyond activities prohibited by law, anything prohibited by your service?
I guess I should have signed up immediately then? Now no free tier
You’re not missing out on anything, if you want something better caliber node has a free tier for bring your own hardware that includes up to 4 apps. So far I’m incredibly happy with them ☺️
@kf5ydu @xor We switched to per-app billing to simplify API workflows. The calculator on cloady.com prices each app from its CPU/RAM/SSD quota. We aim for VPS-like pricing with managed hosting, emergency backups and app-level support included.
@Edmond The ongoing free tier is temporarily paused; a one-month trial is available.
Now caliber is having a 10 app free byoh license promotion and has a 6 core / 8GB app plan for $30 per year recurring. I wonder if this thread helped create a new promo 😂
Hey @cloady, thanks for the update and for being upfront about it.
Quick question for those of us who signed up and deployed something before the free tier got paused: are existing accounts grandfathered in and keeping the ongoing free tier, or do we get moved to the new one-month trial (and then paid hosting)?
I've already got a small service running on it, so I'd like to know where I stand and recalculate the cost before deciding whether to stay or move. If there's a cutoff date or a grace period, that'd be really helpful to know too.
Thanks again, and sorry if this was already answered somewhere.
Thanks for the free service, try a little and feel smooth
