how about the free alternative such buypass and zerossl?
Welp, unfortunate that I am stuck using a phone with Android 6 because I am poor.
Cheap dedis are my drug, and I'm too far gone to turn back.
BuyPass Go SSL (their free SSL alternative) currently doesn't support wildcard certificates, nor do they have DNS support in general at the moment.
ZeroSSL's free plan seems to be limited to 3 certificates at a time, though unlimited certificates is relatively affordable.
Wildcards on ZeroSSL are pretty expensive though ($40 per month if paid yearly, $50 per month otherwise).
EDIT: I'm no expert on certificates and CAs, so I'm not sure how neither would be affected by similar expirations.
BuyPass has been in the market for a while as far as I know and ZeroSSL seems to be signed via Sectigo / Comodo.

you can install both using acme.sh (which I use), as easy as using Let's Encrypt because they use ACME.
what about Cloudflare's SSL ?
