Looking for transfer - 5$ or less KVM

iandkiandk Hosting ProviderOG

Hi,

Since I haven't been able to snag a good BF deal, I'd be happy to take over an idling one.
It has to be 5$ or less per year and a KVM system.
Location and specs doesn't matter.

Just post your system and the price you'd like for it.

Thanks!

$7 mate, $ 7. Alternately, you can keep following @fat32 (or iTLabs when he is back) they are deal hunters unsurpassed

Even an ounce of potassium is not feasible in that budget.

Well even during BF only a few (less than 5) providers that can provide $5/yr recurring KVM. This is mainly because in most places IP is estimated to costs $0.5/m/IP, and there are more overhead on KVM too.

At this moment either someone could transfer you one from VirMach (transfer fee is already $3), wait for @hostsailor ($6.6/yr KVM), or see if @georgedatacenter is going to be crazy and release those $3/yr deal that I missed again during Xmas.

But ya your better bet will be OpenVZ.

I don’t care if the transfer price is much higher :)

    Hello @iandk . I can transfer KVM (SolusVM) 1xCPU 512MB 5GB SSD 1TB 1Gbps 1xIPV4 USA, NY $5.32/yr (recurring) from Virmach.
Transfer for $10 (VPS price + $3 transfer fee) in Bitcoin.

    Transfer policy
To process service transfers securely, we have certain requirements and procedure in place, as well as custom billing fees to handle your request. The sender (you) will be billed a minimum $3 transfer fee, per service, if you wish to proceed.

    SENDER REQUIREMENTS:
    1. You must be a VirMach customer for at least 6 months.
    2. You must provide photo ID, held up to a written message "For service transfer by VirMach" and today's date.
    3. You must confirm that you are giving up any duration of service owed to you, permanently, without any refund.
    4. You must have a valid confirmed e-mail address matching your payment e-mail address.
    5. Your service must be on an independent panel, not combined with other services. If your VPS is combined, there's an additional $2 fee.

    RECEIVER REQUIREMENTS:
    1. Must have valid billing information on file and pass fraud checks.
    2. Must have valid payment method on file, or a minimum of $5 credits on VirMach account.
    3. Must create a ticket confirming receiving the transfer.

  • I'm reorganizing and will probably dump some stuff after that. Too much in the USA (especially Atlanta). Right now I've got something in the $10-12/yr range to dump in Atlanta but nothing under $5.

Yes, they are generally fine but don't expect much for just $6.6/yr, be reminded that the VPS is HDD only so the performance might suffer a bit depends on your use cases.

But for general purpose it should be fine.

@iandk of course many people have experience with them, and some of that is possibly even good experience. They have been in business for a while, and there are some ... interesting stories you might find if you go searching.

It is certainly a wise practice to ask such questions and do your due diligence ...

However, at this price point, in this particular situation ... the only coherent advice one might expect from the FatPal cabal is put most simply:

:scream: "you must pay with confidence!" :scream:

and do your overdue research later, at your leisure

EDIT: yes I did put my $1/m where my mouth is just now, lol ... "FAT32ISEVIL" ftw!

Now I start to believe I am actually evil...

I start to see lots of consecutive 6 everywhere in the past week, I have seen lots of them in my bill / order numbers on different services :scream:

Don't really think I should purchase it because it seems to cost @ionswitch_stan the IP address. @uptime you want to get one? lol

I’ll (probably) never post a deal/offer that is below cost. The $15/yr VPS1 is a bit more sustainable though.

I'd take it if recurring! But since @iandk asked I think only fair for him to get it.

I found and applied the code, and it showed the $6 recurring in the cart, but then generated an invoice for $17.50. D'oh! Maybe others used it up while I was checking out? @ionswitch_stan can you just cancel 3324699964?

    1. Time travel to Black Friday 2018.
    2. Order Virmach $3.99/year 384MB VZ6.
    3. Fast forward to May 2019.
    4. Delete ifconfig because it's deprecated in favor of ip.
    5. IPv4 address disappeared! Open ticket, and the support gives you a second IPv4 address so you can "backup your data". They never take it back, and deleting the second IP would cause "$5 custom downgrade fee", whatever it is.
    6. Jump ahead to Nov 2019.
    7. OpenVZ6 is EOLing and you got a KVM at $3.99/year recurring with two IPv4 address.

Since OP sets no limit on transfer fee, I can offer this KVM box in exchange for his girlfriend a kilogram of gold.
