[Transfer] SoYouStart "SYS-1-SAT-32", 4x2TB, LIM, addon IPv4s - GONE
Update: this is gone.
Spring Clean #4: today I have a dedicated to part ways with, that might be interesting to some as refuge after Hetzner increased prices... 4x2TB storage in their Germany location Limburg (often referred to as Frankfurt, because it's close by ;-))
I bought this a while ago (oct '21) and before they changed the naming on their essential line, so the official "commercial name" from the panel is XEON-SAT-1-32 Server - Intel Xeon D-1520 - 32GB DDR4 ECC 2133MHz - 4x 2TB HDD SATA Soft RAID
it's actually exactly the same of what they now call their SYS-1-SAT-32 , also the same pricing, which usually depends a bit on the branch you are ordering from. in my case that is 23,52€ plus german VAT.
the regular offer price right now for germany is the exact same but for most european countries it is €22.99 and US $ world accounts it's $26.99 - I am not sure if that's being adapted during a transfer to e.g. a uk or french account or how they go about the VAT thingy and few cents difference.
however, it's very hard to come by right now, usually out of stock, especially for the location...
it is paid for till 6. april 2022 and comes with the slightly better D-1521 CPU. 250mbit up, 1Gbps down, also 5x free addon IPs.

IOps is measured on soft raid-10, HDDs are HGST Ultrastar 7K6000 and have power-on hours of only 20.5k (same batch), and obviously no errors/reallocated/pending sectors etc. I can send smartctl and more data via PM if interested.
more than two months left, asking for $60 or 55€, so it's more or less what's left, but available compared and also no setup fees for server or IPs... ;-)
I haven't done SYS transfers in a while, so I need to open a ticket and clarify on the process. My account is registered with eu.soyoustart.com and I am pretty certain, that this must be the same for the receiving party.
anyone interested? eventually gonna cross post this time over on OGF in a few days, but for now here for early birds
PS: totally forgot... IPMI available!

Team push-ups!
thanks for the interest! replied ;-)
I wonder if they will have to jump the price up like Hetzner.
If @Astro doesn’t take it I will, send me a message 🙂
thanks, noted! I think it's more up to SYS to make it happen. let's see how long they take to reply to my ticket and what they require. I'll keep you posted ;-)
I really hope they don't. they introduced the new line up with SYS only november/december last year when energy/power costs was already high up... I'd be quite confused, if they had started those offers that without being aware or calculating for that. but who knows - they're mostly french after all, right ;-) ;-)
I was going to post "count me as second in line"... but I see I'm the third in line (at best)
I haven't been so fast sadly
Thank you for posting it here anyway
you're now second in line, if you're still interested ;-)
I already posted a rant about Hetzner's recent price hike inside the Cest Pit, but were I actually planning to get a dedi, and not just window shopping (^_^), this would have definitely been of interest to me..
While I'm not about to get one any time soon (because I'm mostly into storage ATM, and Oracle Cloud free tier is more than enough for my current computing needs ^_^"), SYS is nonetheless among the top 3 (if not the top 1!) providers AFAIC so, were the buyer to hear anything about the VAT details, I'd be grateful if you could post an update on this (because, right now, with me being non-EU based, and assuming non-EU people do not get any kind of VAT charged, I would be much more interested in getting a server from https://www.soyoustart.com/ie/essential-servers/ rather than https://www.soyoustart.com/us/essential-servers/ - since the former are a bit cheaper, assuming the VAT rate on the IE[EU] site for non-EU accounts indeed turns out to be 0% ^^""")

this is gone. thanks @natvps_uk for the business ;-)
Falzo
still a long way to go Spring Clean #23

I am actually happy - less temptation :-)
