I worry as a SmallWeb customer what this means for me if there is a problem. No issues so far, but I just hope I don't get left behind since the NB acquisition.

Same. I have a mxroute reseller plan and not sure if I should renew it.

I've been running SmallWeb for over a year or for however long NB has owned SmallWeb, I believe now, no one is being left behind. Nothing is being changed with SmallWeb and will continue to function as it always has.

Thanks for the reassurance. I rely on my hosting plan for email and website usage quite a bit so I am grateful to know that nothing is being changed on that front at this time. :) Much love

  • @Jord can you help me out? You guys closed my affiliate withdrawal tickets but didn't really give me the money. I've opened a new ticket and hopefully this one is processed correctly 626052. Been waiting for two months now, not really acceptable.
    Thanks man.

Hey, I’m sorry to hear that, I’ll get it processed, can you include your PayPal email please, and I’ll kick Jay so he pays it.

I don't plan to actively post EntryBytes affiliate links until after I stop seeing drama threads.
treefiddy page will remain online, until the domain expires.

It's not even in the same league, but slightly broken things (like the unban IP autofilling cloudflare and not being able to edit that field and offering expired SitePad) are not great signs of loving maintenance.

Redis is unsafe to use in a shared/reseller hosting environment, unless the provider manages to isolate each Redis instance, for each customer/DA account.

I hope cPanel/DA/CloudLinux guys write a cPanel/DA plugin that makes spinning up dedicated Redits instances available.

Memcached is not as good, but still better than having no object cache.

Currently, LiteSpeed doesn't work with Memcached (since this April).

I don't know if you have noticed or not, DA allows you to have per user Redis instance with "pro pack".

  • I´m moving since control panel isn´t working always as it should, slow, and support saying that everything is well and working, whereas my vnc is definitely NOT for months already. Paid until July 2023 and no refund possible, but like they are now I won´r risk this anymore after an unresponsive vps for 3 days last month.

I'm sorry to hear this, I've spoken with you on your ticket I believe, I am making sure this doesn't happen again, we are looking into why VNC isn't working correctly, I do apologise for the issues here, we will make sure this is fixed. I will keep your ticket updated.

    Thank you for the ping.

NB support has been responding to tickets, issues are getting resolved. Speaking from recent experience for my own account. Things may not be out of woods yet, but Panda man is making sure the bamboo is cleared out to pave a path.

    Cheers

In my opinion they are NOT dead as they gave my a partial refund as I asked them, so that´s a good sign and I hope they get their issues fixed and wish them good luck.

  • I'm glad they rejected my first purchase.
