My new janky AF ebay parts homeserver. Absolutely not going to win performance contests - but it is growing on me. All my other homelab stuff is SBC/minipc so was really missing something more ATX sized...pcie slots, satas etc.
Highlights - Triple 1.6tb intel enterprise SSDs. 128gb RAM (still waiting for half to arrive). Tons of Sata ports. 4 free x16 sized slots (think some may be 8 electrical). Chonky corsair 850w psu that never needs to spin up fans
Was initially horrified at power usage (ancient x99 platform) but after enabling C6 states...ok down to sub 50W...I can live with that.
@Mason - is it expected that yabs displays threads as cores? This is not a 16 core cpu
@host_c said: Just kidding, altho I really like the score on that i5-7500T CPU @ 2.70GHz.
I am surprised how well this one performs, also its not power hungry, with couple of vms it draws 8-10w... Overall very satisfied with this old cheap build..
Processor : Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6122 CPU @ 1.80GHz
I am running a Intel(R) Pentium(R) Silver J5005 CPU @ 1.50GHz as my local backup server. Maybe the original intended purpose was something similar but the message got lost down the line...

I believe since it have hyper threading, it will always shows them as cores. Nothing wrong with the yabs..

It’s OK if you disagree with me. I can’t force you to be right.
More impressed that someone found a CPU with a sample size of one passmark:
second pre order coming up with same CPU

72 NOK / year
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
Is that a typo? 72 NOK is under 10/year for what looks like a vps with very fast nvme?
No typo, just a very limited $7/yr offer which IMHO is very good, especially given how premium @gigahost is and with the fast hardware and network.
One question @cybertech: does it come with 5 TB or 10 TB traffic?
