@red said: Just curious, is there a reason why you never buy your VPS yearly?
For benchmark? Buying yearly is waste of money for me, as i only need 2-3 days to bench a VPS. But for production also i never bought yearly. The reason is solely because of performance. I don't know whether the machine will perform as good as i bought it on day one.
Just as i suspected... Sir, you are addicted to benchmarking. But do not fret. There is till hope for you. Please join our "Benchmarkers Anonymous" group meetings held in Uganda every 30th February and you can also be on the path to recovery.

You're right, almost every yearly VPS I bought has decreased in performance over time (generally 1 month after buying it) . They do it on purpose I guess as you're stuck with them for at least one year.

Usually it is true, but with greencloud it has been the exact opposite for me.
I got a vps with them in October, GB5 was around 550. It has been steadily increasing, and right now I get 700. Network top notch as well, always able to burst to 10G.

in all seriousness, it’s a $1/month VPS. i wasnt expecting much. i asked support and they said it’s because it’s because it’s shared and it should resolve itself soon (it didnt). overall, i can’t complain because i have four other $1/month servers with them all running tor exits and they dont give a shit even though they push over 15TB bandwidth a month

Even for 1$, you can expect something 500 GB5 range.
Ryzen would be a steal though.

to be fair it's $1 paid monthly, so they're really making a few cents off of it. i only bought it for the bandwidth but 60 GB5 is pretty much literally unusable for anything
