    It probably has something to do with mod_deflate on Apache. I put bin type files on the exclusion for it. I recommend using iperf3 or wget on a CLI for better results.

    I don’t mean to be rude, but I find it hard to believe the results from speedtest.net when I see bench scripts using it to measure network performance. Many ISPs seem to favor or limit the traffic to and from speedtest.net, so it may not show the actual quality of a connection. Use iPerf3 for more accuracy. @linveo has a looking glass with iPerf3 support. It’s strange that speedtest.net seems like a standard on lowendspirit for testing network performance.
