Just found this deal on MyDealz. Seems like a steal for the price, just don't forget cancelling in time :)

Never used them before, but might be worth a try :P

Someone on the other forum suggested that it can only be ordered by people living in Germany. I haven't tested it yet, but could be the case. Technically speaking, a VPN might work, but then again you might wanna read the terms beforehand.

Another one of these, install by hand, because we like you to use a container instead.
Cloud-init exists like a decade already, kurwa.

Nothing new. That offer exists for more than year or so. I can run s yabs tomorrow, but there should be some already.

Performance is decent, very solid provider. Probably not for everyone with the non fancy panel, cancellation and contractual stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. I only remembered them having been around for ages and even a student friend of mine is using them for webhosting, so if they are still reaching students they're likely more popular than I thought.
Google Maps reviews about them are horrible though.

Ah, too bad. Yeah I remember asking a lawyer years back about wanting to cater to international clients and he legit told me, to get started, I could just limit clients to Germany as per ToS. In the next sentence, however, he said that I had no obligation to check whether the clients really were from Germany though.
As long as they put in a german address, I wouldn't have any obligation to verify that.
Was kinda fun hearing that from a lawyer.

Tl;dr: To get started, Lawyer told me to only cater to German clients as per the ToS, however, in the same sentence sort of said I would be under no obligation to verify the address my clients put in.

a lie / misrepresentation at the beginning of a transaction... perhaps not a good start! no matter what a lawyer (shyster) says.

I'm not suggesting to add a false address when signing up with them. Was just funny to see the same "practice" to seemingly be in place that the lawyer suggested back then. There are use cases where I can see why you wouldn't want to share your real address (e.g. some online game keysellers etc), but in this case I'd definitely use my real address. Given that I'm German, that wouldn't be an issue either.
