Fast Singapore Web Hosting from NameCrane - Ryzen CPUs, NVMe storage, + New Discounts

NameCraneNameCrane Hosting Provider

NameCrane Web Hosting in Singapore

For Immediate Release
It finally happened, we made it to Asia. You can stop asking us now... please.. make the tickets stop 😭

NameCrane is officially live in Singapore with all of our cPanel and DirectAdmin hosting plans available for purchase right this second.

Our server gear all made it in one piece, and good thing because we stepped up the hardware a little and are using Ryzen 7950X CPUs for our Singapore deployment. Gives you the slightest speed improvement over our regular configuration, but provides some extra room to keep your site as snappy as possible during the busy hours.

Discounts! New Annual & Biennial Pricing

We've updated our pricing to include some discounts on most plans for longer billing terms. If you're willing to make a Crane commitment then we think it's fair to offer our brothers a little break.

Feel free to order monthly to try us out and just drop a ticket to billing to switch your billing cycle upon renewal. Same applies to existing customers, just open a billing ticket and we'll update your price on renewal.

Even Easier Migrations

Fran has been hard at work on our Migration Center to make it even easier to move accounts to NameCrane from other cPanel/DirectAdmin hosts - but also to move plans between NameCrane locations.

We've rolled out some DNS cluster fixes to address scaling issues we were having and maybe insert a feature or 2 that would help with a future Anycast deployment..

Migrating to Singapore

We know a number of customers want to migrate existing plans to Singapore. Fran has built even more checks and fixes into Migration Center so you can do it completely self-serve. cPanel to cPanel, DA to DA, cPanel to DA - all possible.

The same rules apply as before, we will not be migrating any services between locations. If you want to move you'll need to order a new plan and can use the Migration Center to move your accounts.

We'll only be assisting existing customers with location changes if, and only if, you've used our provided tools and ran into a problem.

NameCrane Reviews

We want to highlight a few recent reviews for NameCrane. You can also check the latest NameCrane customer reviews on TrustPilot.

jcolideles on LET

Currently a customer for over a year now (Budget reseller) and the service is awesome. Good uptime and the service is stable

GetParanoid on LET:

I picked up a shared DA plan to do some testing last week, shit is wicked fast to say the least. Ryzen 7900 is kicking ass.

xpreboun on LET:

They are great. I moved to NameCrane cPanel Shared 25G from NameCheap's Stellar Business plan, and I did not notice any significant difference performance-wise. There is a significant difference in price: Namecheap charges 216.88 / 2 yrs vs Namecrane 36 / 2 yrs. I won't say Namecheap's plan is a rip off because they are way cheaper than SiteGround and GoDaddy. They are in that price range / market for a reason, and my wallet definitely want me to pay less.

The resource limits (other than disk storage and burstable CPU) are either higher or equal on Shared 25G plan compared to Stellar Business. My sites are also now on IPv6 (which is not offered by Namecheap) after opening a ticket.

Erisa on LET:

Props to brother in crane @Francisco for the migration tool, used it to pull an old cpanel account over to Namecrane and everything worked perfectly first try.

jlet88 on LET:

I have tried out @NameCrane services and I have to say they are quite simply the best shared hosting I've ever tested. Performance was excellent in my brief time, but the thing that surprised me the most was the responsiveness, professionalism, and knowledge of the staff, given the pricing model of the service. This is highly unusual in my experience. If they can actually keep that up long-term, they will be setting a very high bar indeed. So big tip of the hat to the whole @NameCrane team, bravo, and well done!

I can't honestly speak to the long-term reliability of course, but my brief experience has demonstrated the high level you can achieve for a very reasonable price. They will be receiving my vote next year as among the Best of LET.

Been pretty happy with them :) We're working on warming up our IP's to start allowing outbound email on them but that takes a bit of time and I don't have many contacts to them.

Past that we're looking at another possible product line offering but it's very niche so we're still researching.

I had to do an emergency migration from mobile with the equivalent of dial up Internet. Downloading the backup to my phone did not work after multiple attempts. Do you know what did work though? NameCrane's migration center. It took one minute seven seconds start to finish. πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰

I have a random question about NC, so figured this might as well be where I ask it as the most recent thread! For me at least, it's hard keeping track of who operates what, thus the question. Is NameCrame operated by the same people behind BuyVM? And maybe Incognet as well? (And I swear there used to be another "BuyYYY"-typed named service but my google-fu is failing me). And maybe Alexhost? ExtraVM? Or are those all different companies and I'm just dumb and confused, lol. And if they are the same, what is the use case for each of them?

Just trying to make sure I have my understanding down correctly, because I hear nothing but praise for NameCrane and am interested in trying it out.

NameCrane is by @Francisco at BuyVM. The other thing you may be thinking of is BuyShared, which has become NameCrane. Here is the announcement on the OGF, it was probably announced on here as well: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/193192/buyshared-is-becoming-namecrane-new-locations-plans-and-website/p1

Yep, that's 100% what I was thinking. I even tried googling "BuySharedHosting" at one point while typing that up, so it was clearly in my brain somewhere! And thanks for the link, will peruse that thread for a bit. I mostly avoid the OGF these days but still find myself venturing there from time to time!

I think the migration center is one of the better things I've coded over the years. Second only to Stallion.

Thanks for the feedback and business, I really appreciate it.

FFMPEG is now available on basically every node :) The proposed limits we'll be enforcing in the next couple days is something like:

    • GLOBAL ~200% CPU usage for the whole node
    • all FFMPEG's share that 200%
    • 25% MAX per process
    • Caps kick in after 30~60 seconds (still deciding) to allow some quick burst at the start

Because of the 200% cap, this means if a node has a lot of FFMPEG, you may not get the 25%. We don't expect this to be much of an issue since people aren't going to be encoding their PLEX library here.

@NameCrane will document it in the next sales thread :)
