I'm genuinely sad to read this message. After the acquisition by Clouvider, I feared this day would come, and sadly, today is that day.
Like many, InceptionHosting was one of my first providers when I started venturing down the LowEndRabbitHole. In fact, I had almost zero experience with Unix, let alone running something headless. Tinkering around with VPSes has been instrumental to my career. The skills I learned years ago still apply today, and InceptionHosting played a role in that by providing an affordable platform to experiment. If I broke something, I could easily reinstall it and start from scratch. I remember (trying to) set up a Mumble server right around when TeamSpeak changed their license structure. Yes, kids, before Discord, we ran our own stuff.
I never had any issues with Anthony's service or servers. They've been rock solid from the start, which might be the reason I still own a couple of them. Class act for giving us ample time to migrate and, even more so, for providing refunds and free-of-charge service until then.
@InceptionHosting Ant, I'm not sure if you're still around, but thanks again for being such a great host over the past 13 years. I wish you all the best with your future endeavors.
@InceptionHosting came out of the shade to thank you for the services I've had with you for the past decade. Didn't want to bother you with putting in a ticket for this as I'm not sure you remember me, but I do remember you so it felt like I needed to write you a personal message. In case you need your memory refreshed: I've helped you out a little in the early days of LES to tweak some code and write some initial plugins
I got to know you as a good, friendly and honest man. Thank you for the many years of service and being the founder of this place. Wishing you all the best in life

@Solaire yes I even remember your full name and your awesome monitor setup its thanks to you that the 'thanks' option on this forum exists (and many other things)
@Freek yes, still around and still messing with megadrives in my spare time
I am keeping an eye on the comments as much as possible but as you will appreciate, this is quite a busy time now
I will no doubt be answering some of your tickets on the Clouvider side now

Sad to hear, have been using them for over a decade, have been super reliable, most eggs in one basket for me.
Will likely migrate some to Clouvider, but they don't seem to offer storage oriented VPS's, any recommendations in London for ~500GB with similar reliability.
Ohh wow, that's sad. Over a year ago I moved away from ih because of the aged hardware but the six or seven years until then have been really great. Clouvider is ok but pricing is just semi-good for me.
The good thing apparently is that only ih closes but Ant remains here and doesn't retire. Hope to see you around at the just starting peak season.
I went with Clouvider's 50% off Coupon. That is still more than I paid before, but I am sure it is worth it. Not having to worry has a value when you get older. And I may hear from Anthony in the unlikely case that I need support. Sounds great to me as an overall package.

Certified braindead since 1974 and still perfectly happy.
Have been too sidetracked to address this..
Also sad to see the end of this.
Wonders if Clouvider will allow 'transfers' of the existing DA internal licenses.
