(Quote) In v2 NetworkInterfaces was moved to the config file /etc/hetrixtools/hetrixtools.cfg.

(Quote) That shouldn't impair the agent's installation or functionality, but it also shouldn't happen. Please open a ticket on our platform so we can look further into this. Thanks.

Sorry folks, there's no more restocking for now. Thanks again to everyone who participated. Will have to do more of these in the future.

All 80 keys ran out, @bula got the last one. Thanks to everyone who participated! (Quote) Hey Mike, The CPU temperature is currently fetched from /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone*/temp, although this is unfortunately not available on all systems, w…

I didn't expect all of the keys to go out so fast. Adding another 40 keys to the giveaway. All done so far, 53 out of 80.

I've got a new server from RS this January, as part of our new deployment of uptime monitoring nodes. I have to say I'm quite happy with it so far. Having 100% uptime over the past 6 months: https://hetrixtools.com/report/uptime/8317d251043c87c3822…

My first dedicated server, and also first provider, was XLHost, back in 2006, when their website and offers looked like this: http://web.archive.org/web/20060525182633/http://xlhost.com:80/ I see they're still in business, however I haven't used th…

This is an issue with CloudFlare and the way their firewall works. We've had several such complains before. It looks like CloudFlare's Bot Fight Mode will simply ignore or trump any 'allow' firewall rules... which doesn't make sense. I've done al…

As already suggested, best thing would be this: https://docs.hetrixtools.com/alert-only-after-x-minutes-of-downtime/ But that only if you are willing to ignore small downtimes, which of course you should not be doing. I'd suggest looking into your…

(Quote) Unfortunately there's never going to be a package that'd suite everyone's needs and budgets... at least not in a sustainable way for the provider.

(Quote) Hey, The promos aren't stackable and can't be applied for upgrades. Cheers.

(Quote) Galera cluster can self-heal, as long as 50%+1 of the nodes are still operational. They recommend running a minimum of 5 nodes per cluster, so you can have 2 servers nuked and still have a healthy and self-healing cluster. However, I would…

Have you tried this? https://severalnines.com/product/clustercontrol/clustercontrol-community-edition I've been meaning to play with it for quite some time now but haven't gotten to it yet... but it looks very good.

(Quote) It's mostly the array of services they they offer as a whole: for instance Argo which significantly improves the api endpoint time; or their Load Balancing which allows us to have any number of receiving/processing nodes behind it; or the fa…

We (HetrixTools) were partially affected, as in our main website uses CloudFlare, and had suffered some downtime. The server monitoring api endpoint is also behind CloudFlare, so a lot of our users' server monitoring agents were unable to resolve th…

Shared Hosting: - MyW.pt (@MikePT) - 99.9908% Uptime - quite impressive. - RamNode - 99.9799% Uptime - used to have a shared hosting package with them, but gave it up a while ago, I guess the uptime monitor kept going on the default cpanel page, pre…

And if you're going with a VPS (at least) as you should get rid of the shared hosting, you should block all traffic on ports 80 and 443, and whitelist CloudFlare IPs, to make sure that they're not attacking you directly (outside of CF).
-
Tried CloudFlare rate limiting? From your last screenshot it does appear to be the same IP address over and over, so if that's the general case then rate limiting would filter that out. However if they're using a big pool of different IPs, then it w…

(Quote) Oh yeah, good catch, it's an older post template. Cheers.

Oh darn, dark theme is messing up the heading for some reason, and I can't edit the post anymore. If any mods can modify the first 2 lines to be visible in both light and dark themes, that'd be great, thank you ?
