(Quote) As a result it has been normal to purchase the product called mystery box because it literally so many* people bought it before Virmach revealed the rules and it should be normal if you get something under a baseline in common sense and then…
-
(Quote) Because it just the common sense to make it at least usable. What is your suggested use case for those 128Ms (actually 103M shows in OS) as provider?
-
(Quote) That analogy makes sense because it just like the average between 128Ms and highest plans and what I expressed is so many* 128Ms is way too much for entertainment both for quantities and the spec
-
(Quote) No buyers knows that product was scanned from that way and if you don’t want people to buy it just disable it or set 0 stock
-
(Quote) For the first half, yes that’s exactly how BF deals spread across communities. For the next half, people just expect there will be a baseline with common sense
-
(Quote) It’s doesn’t make much sense to calculate the average like you and Buffett have $60B in average. what’s the percentage of people who get exactly 128M and what do you think these vps can be used for?
-
(Quote) Customers should not be blamed for buying it early because no one knows it’s a sale which is not fully prepared and if there is a warning to let people wait for the detailed rules then it will be a different story but there wasn’t any so peo…

I have been using Virmach since more than three years ago. The first couple of years with Virmach is smooth without issues just like other providers does. I still have a legacy OVZ-256 and I remember while they migrate all OVZ product line to KVM th…

(Quote) Because @Jab wants the hard number of each prize, do you have it? And there is another important question have been repeated many times in this thread is that how do you decide to put the initial buyers in the worst batch instead of give eve…
-
(Quote) I also want a hard number as I appealed at the very beginning of this thread to let @VirMach post the whole result publicly now looks like you’re another supporter of transparency.
-
(Quote) Literally it is not a lottery because the prize is not randomized and they made the decision to let those initial buyers get the worst prize for sure.
-
(Quote) 32 right? Do you think it’s a small number out of the 200+ totals?
-
(Quote) If there were 1-3 then it’s a meme otherwise it’s a joke because we all know basically nothing can be hosted on this thing. As those 128 MB VPS can be nothing but a joke 30+ is way too much
-
(Quote) I’m not complaining for what I get and it will be an honor for me if I’m the only one who got 128M I’m telling my disappointment to their business decisions and of course I learned my lesson today but maybe they will also have a lesson to le…

(Quote) I don’t mean to defend because I accept the risk to get anything (even nothing) while buying that mystery box What disappointed me is how the customers are dealt with during this campaign to let so many people get almost not usable VPS. It …

(Quote) no, the order page opened 2 or 3 days BEFORE the post so no one of the first batch who placed the order quickly had the chance to know So we thought it should be randomized and have a baseline to make sure that VPSes at least usable But ev…
-
(Quote) So actually it’s not randomized as if you are in the first group who buy it have 100% chances to get the worst result. (Quote) I’m totally okay with getting the worst plan but the things out of expectations is the worst plan even have never…

(Quote) As it’s a for-profit company it not needs any donations even though you can do this if feeling good but in most cases people choose them with a expectation that they will have basic respect to both their clients and their business instead of…
-
(Quote) Agreed. As the campaign is end it's more fair for @VirMach to publish the full list of All mystery box results (including Purchase time, Hostname and Plan) to improve transparency.
-
(Quote) Of course I accept the result and admit the bet but not only the lose of lottery but also lose the bet on Virmach's business manner
-
(Quote) It's worse than plain water because the 128M KVM (~100MB usable) even hard to find a bootable OS and can not complete apt-upgrade
-
(Quote) It's much different between KVM and OVZ.

(Quote) Why dont just keep all the data abroad instead of using NAS? If ccp noticed your unusual internet traffic around 4th June and break into your house those TBs may bad for you :#

Good deal!

@VirMach Is there anything wrong with Node PHXZ001? This node seems went offline and made the control panel not loading in last weekend. Now the control panel page loads but VPS remains offline even after trying boot/reboot from control panel.

Hope to get one <3
