(Quote) Do you know what prompted Softmaker to send you the personalized offer?
-
(Quote) You're using it in Windows, correct? (Because there's no BasicMaker in the Linux versions.)
-
(Quote) BasicMaker is only included in the Professional version.
-
(Quote) I don't think they particularly enforce that an upgrade purchase to require the user to provide a license from an older version. But in any event, here's a link for a free license of SoftMaker Office Standard 2018 for Windows. With this lic…

Coupon Code o21x24 will get you Softmaker Office 2024 for $9.99 on their website.

(Quote) ONLYOFFICE recently discontinued their relationship with Nextcloud. Nextcloud is moving towards supporting Euro-Office, which is a fork of ONLYOFFICE and expected to be released this summer.
-
(Quote) FreeOffice is still an excellent free option and not that much different than the full Softmaker Office.

What is Daemon Tools typically used for?

Softmaker recently revoked the coupon (at this link) for a free copy of Softmaker Office 2021: https://shop.softmaker.com/?couponcode=officefree

(Quote) Isn't every Discord server run separately by different people, each according to their own rules?
-
(Quote) What's the quality of webpages/websites produced with those tools? How would you prompt it to produce the pages/site?

(Quote) How common is IRC used these days?

(Quote) Fair enough. Perhaps someone else can explain why Discord isn't fine for this purpose. Or to refute that claim.

What is the easiest tool to create a simple website?

The OP writes that Discord isn't fine for this purpose. But he doesn't write why not. So, why not?

(Quote) Are you saying it is popular with criminals?

Sounds more like a fundraising tactic than a shutdown notice.

(Quote) Isn't the idea of open source exactly mean anyone can repackage other open source code and fork it? (Quote) Which USA AI is being used here? (And which Pakistani workers?)

I heard that HostGator is giving Bluehost a run for their money.

(Quote) * How is this better than what OnlyOffice already offers? * OnlyOffice roots, I understand, are in Latvia, not Russia.

(Quote) You can place as many orders as you need for additional no cost licenses of SM2021.
-
(Quote) That's true. Though, if both SM2021 and FO2024 are both free, from the best I can tell SM2021 is much more feature rich than FO2024.

Since Softmaker Office Standard 2021 is available free, an interesting question is whether it is worth paying $20 to upgrade to the Professional 2024 version. What do you get by upgrading from 2021 to 2024 plus from Standard to Professional? The se…

Since you can get a free

(Quote) That's true by default, but you can enable end to end encryption with a setting.

(Quote) Such as? And are you referring to WPS or to Softmaker?

If someone is currently using Google Password Manager, is there any compelling reasons to change (and what are they)? And if one does change, and is looking for the same ease of use and no self-hosting, what is the best option?
-
(Quote) Google Password Manager works for applications.

(Quote) What do you use for your whole house ad blocker DNS setup?
-
(Quote) Interesting. From the reviews I've seen users reported that the free version of WPS Office they place ads that keep nagging you to upgrade to the paid version.
-
(Quote) I believe that Softmaker is also specifically built for OOXML. And for what I've read, Softmaker has a slight advantage over ONLYOFFICE in conforming to the OOXML standards.
-
By the way, I registered for the free older Softmaker Office Standard 2021 that the OP in this thread linked to. A couple of weeks later Softmaker emailed me an offer to upgrade from that to Softmaker Office Professional 2024 for only $20.

(Quote) Are you using the paid version of WPS Office or the free version of WPS Office?

Isn't WPS Office cluttered with ads?
