Yeah you can force that just a warning they aren't ready and need to be formatted. I just didn't use /dev/disk/by-id/ for fstab, and UUID= has been working a charm.

(Quote) So one method is /dev/disk/by-id I ended up doing a lsblk, formatting them as the letters they were. Then lsblk -f to get the UUID Finally in fstab, they start with UUID=[uuid] and no problems since.

A huge huge thank you to @VirMach. I got my FOMO imok CPU upgrade requested, and it installed next day, on a holiday weekend. Now my GB6, it's over 9,000! (god I'm old) and a nice big drive in there to fill up with requests for the wifey and inlaws…

If you get LSI MegaRAID you're going to want to use Unified_storcli_all_os.zip, then ln -s /opt/MegaRAID/storcli/storcli64 /usr/local/bin/storcli For JBOD, the old RAID0 one drive workaround. storcli /c0 /eall /sall showstorcli /c0 add vd type=rai…

(Quote) If I could get the 5500 monthly that'd be awesome. I had a crazy day at work an just seeing this, whatever is left and ready to go I'll take! I want to play with the drives, but if something's racked and ready, that's even better.

(Quote) Whichever one allows me to purchase one quicker with a JBOD setup if possible. Like you said they both look similiar. I filled up Plex repo and playing with GetChannels now, and it needs a home, I'm riding my VM's at 80% disk and it's just w…

Some high quality Lumen (albeit loves to backhaul through DFW) from all tests I've done. Do we need to play some sort of Saw type game to get that $25 dedi @VirMach ? This would be the perfect 'not just another DC in the tri-state area' for backups…

Let me see if any of mine have been moved, I'll help out!

Feel free to take my handful of idlers extremely important servers left in Chicago and move them to OKC if they abide. I have too much NYC and... 40 something others. :)

i'd be happy to migrate anything left in CHI to OKC to beta
-
Morning @imok. Thanks hanks for the migration @VirMach - appreciate you and the team's fast response to this and the options given. FWIW, some good came of this - I'm now smarter and run a backup of the SQL DB, even for a hobby project, every hour …
