(Quote) Please remove our node IPs from this post. Never share node IPs publicly! We’ll look into the issue
-
(Quote) I've lifted the IO throttle, please try again now
-
(Quote) Almost certainly being throttled, DM me your micronode username and I'll take a look
-
(Quote) That seems about right considering the node is on HDDs. We will be getting a UK node on SSDs fairly soon.
-
(Quote) I'll take a look once the nodes are back online
-
(Quote) Its possible that you are being throttled. We do have automated throttling in place for users that are hammering the disks. Open a ticket and we can investigate. I just timed a apt-update on that node and it is not even close to that slow on…

Announcement: We have disabled vswap for instances users on the UK nodes, this was being heavily abused by people creating 64MB instances and forcing everything into swap. As this node is on HDDs it was impacting the limited disk performance fairly …
-
(Quote) This is now resolved, it was a routing issue which is now resolved. For anyone else seeing generally strange networking behaviour on this node the issues should be resolved. Please let me know if you continue to see issues, whilst this is a…

@Fritz I've DM'd you. Depending on how much resource @Fritz is after there may be some remaining.
-
(Quote) Just waiting on @ganonk to confirm some details as he has first refusal, if for whatever reason it doesn’t work out you’re 2nd in line.
-
(Quote) Provisioned, theres 6GB RAM and 1TB disk remaining. I believe all dedicated IPv4 addresses are now allocated although we may have a few spare if anyone else wants one.
-
(Quote) That’s cheap! Garages here are like £100 per month and they hardly fit a single car! I’d snap your hands off for a garage for that price in the UK. My car collection is currently spread across a few locations 😰
-
(Quote) Korea will be back in stock soon, Singapore is possibly coming although it’s likely a few months away.
-
(Quote) £100 each per month with a /27 and a /64 Absolute rip off considering they are almost 10 year old hardware. You don’t want em, trust me!
-
(Quote) Done, its added to your micronode account. If you require a dedicated IPv4 Address let me know.
-
(Quote) =)
-
(Quote) If it was hosted in Calins basement it would have already been DDos'd 6 times and have 70% uptime. - Sorry Calin, I know you're working on this :#
-
(Quote) I can confirm that no basements have been used in the hosting of this node.
-
(Quote) Looks like a routing issue to git.io. Try this wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Nyr/openvpn-install/master/openvpn-install.sh -O openvpn-install.sh && bash openvpn-install.sh
-
(Quote) I haven’t came across that before, I’ll take a look
-
(Quote) It’s not in a DC but it is located in a secure unit. Definitely not in Calins basement 😂
-
(Quote) I can hit your instance over ssh, are you using the right port?
-
(Quote) MTU 1500 although the latency is less than ideal and there is likely contention on the S2S link. It is purely for fun, don't expect the networking to be great.
-
(Quote) As in the package?
-
New Instances Location Added This one is for a bit of fun but gives everyone a bonus location. The server is located in an undisclosed location although all traffic is routed out of Amsterdam via a site to site link. These instances are provisioned…

Migration Announcement All VMs and Instances on the following node: fl-1.nat.natvps.uk will be migrated to a new node on February 18th 2023. How do I know if I am on this node? Your private IPv4 Address will be on the following subnet: 10.200.1.x …
-
(Quote) We explained the reasons for this above, if you have over 4 months remaining on your billing cycle you are entitled to a partial refund. Please open a ticket as well as a cancellation request if you require the partial refund.
-
And its done! The load across the 2 nodes is slightly higher than we'd like due to all of the migrated VMs booting. This is slowly coming down and we are monitoring closely.
-
(Quote) We still have some self migrations in the backlog, we'll leave them open for now and double the resources as promised. We just ran out of time prior to the migration.
-
Most VMs are now back online, there are around 50 remaining on the data copy. All users can now see their new VMs in the Micronode panel.
-
(Quote) Oh the tickets have begun.... You're bang on with the content :o
-
(Quote) Migration is underway now, we expect this to be complete within the next few hours.
-
(Quote) They won’t be available as instances, we will however run LXC or OVZ inside a VM to offer instances at the new location.
-
(Quote) Honestly I don’t want to take a prize away from someone! It’s good kit and I’m sure you’ll find a use for it. If something else of interest comes up I’ll see if I can claim it 🙂
-
(Quote) Damn, I thought they would be! I’ll watch the thread for anything else interesting showing up. We’re all for recycling hardware to save on e-waste - this is a great idea!
-
(Quote) The lowest amount of RAM that we would be offering is 1GB on our KVM deals.
-
If its not been claimed yet I'd be interested in the Asrock x399 Taichi / Threadripper 1900X QTY Happy to make a charitable donation for a charity of your choice in return for the board, we'd use it to offer some nice NAT KVMs.

(Quote) When will the panel be back online?
-
(Quote) This should work without issue. You will need to create a loadbalancer for each virtual host.
-
(Quote) It can take 10-15 minutes to take effect, cloudflare proxy should work although you may find that the SSL cert doesn’t automatically renew on the proxy. We recommend using cloudflare direct to the ipv6 address rather than via a loadbalancer.
