(Quote) Are you sure? When I emailed him a month or so ago he made a comment about trying to find a good location that outside of Ukraine due to his past experience with the UA seizures. Sounded like a EU location. But maybe they changed their mind …

(Quote) They could be saving stock for future BF offers or something. They still have the SYS-LE-1 which is pretty great, D-2134iT 4c/8t, 32GB RAM, 2x512GB NVMe for $25/m. I'm running srvcheck.com off of one =)

(Quote) Over half of the US states have online ID laws now. If you host based off of that, you're excluding major DC/IX hubs like Texas, Virginia, Florida, California (soon), etc. Social media/porn ID laws will unfortunately become normal, but…

(Quote) no, it doesn't affect container paltforms.

(Quote) I think most of my clients are understanding people, probably because I talk to them like a real person. They know I'm happy to refund them if the change means they can't use the service. Security and stability is my main concern. …

Like the others this is only for servers running nested virtualization. I ran nested virtualization forever, but after so many vulnerabilities that stem from it, I decided to just disable it on all of my systems. For people that need nested virtuali…

@Wonder_Woman It's fixed. I manually increased all of the existing orgs yesterday or something and then updates the actual plans which doesn't override the manual limits.. and forgot.

(Quote) Weird, a change was made with how it updates but I haven't experienced any problem. I guess it's just something permission specific with certain OS, which OS/version is was it? (Quote) no, data is stored in postgres, each data typ…

(Quote) Great! Any features added (like webhooks) won't be restricted in any way.

(Quote) This is something I'd like to know as well lol. Since this version is new I don't have data for more than a week or so. But it's probably very small, data after 24 hours is compacted into 5 minute intervals (tldr big storage r…

(Quote) You can edit the /etc/sysmon-agent/agent.conf on the server: INTERVAL=60s The default interval is based on the plan settings (60s for these for now), so just change it to 300s for 5 minutes and restart the sysmon-agent service. But really h…

(Quote) lol I've always used this and thought LES was down all day.. I'll use the main domain from now on :#

(Quote) no, everything is completely separate. -- I added a few additional things; * Swap memory activity so you can see when swapping takes place (since this can hurt server perf, good to know) * Disk I/O; see disk IO stats for ever device, read…

(Quote) no, I just made that with Claude. I used Smokeping in the past and some other similar software but never liked them, and I wanted a more simple/user-friendly way add probes and to try to see latency issues to some niche networks. Honestly it…

Based on the last replies here regarding I/O use it seems like a dedicated server is the best option, not a virtual/shared environment for high disk I/O.

(Quote) Oh wow lmao. I was looking in their nav bar but their normal VPS aren't listed in their navigation. Never knew they sold unmanaged VPS. But yeah I guess since Hetzner doesn't sell the budget cost-optimized in the US :(

(Quote) Unless I'm missing something why not just use OVH? KnownHost is great but they're a managed host, you know what you're doing, no point in paying 8x more (unless they are offering it free?) especially for something you probably…

(Quote) I'm out of stock in Dallas practically, and I can't do very cheap deals now with memory prices, since I only build new hardware. Either way I don't do private networking unfortunately. Thanks though.

Honestly I don't think it's a bad idea for them. Having another big player like Mozilla for email isn't bad. Yeah it's $6/m, not for me, not for most of us here, but there's people that will use it and prefer it to other opt…

I enabled them and disabled uBlock for lowendspirit but don't see any. I do see a bunch of errors in dev console but don't know if it's related. Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resour…

(Quote) I thought Namecrane was his own company, not associated with BVM after being sold?

Can I ask why it's so expensive to run it? Nearing a 4--figure yearly bill is crazy to me for something like LES forum. I feel like this could run on a $300-400/y server.

Soo any one looking for non-cPanel web hosting :)????

(Quote) nope... and why not?

Jeez, that's like $9/m for 24GB RAM in Sydney. Crazy deal..
