(Quote) HostHatch was blocked a long time ago as they host Tor exit nodes, which is of course a main avenue for abuse and typically where the orders for highly illegal stuff came from. I don't have Virmach blocked, unless they use ColoCrossing's ASN…

(Quote) Knowledgebase is on the same domain. Blocking DC networks that are commonly used by large VPN providers prevents 100% of L7 DDoS towards my website, and blocks 100% of fraud and people hosting things like CP and running carding/fraud rings v…

(Quote) True, but object storage and remote SQL database options could alleviate this. There are options that can be used with normal hosting accounts with popular software that aren't expensive, so maybe I should write up a document about it.

(Quote) I agree. I think I will remove my domain limits. Edit: If anyone is interested, I made a new code "LESWEB50" that gives you 50% off recurring any web hosting plan in North America, Europe, and Singapore. https://extravm.com/webho…

(Quote) This is the issue: (Quote) Shared hosting is more expensive, VPS has no licensing, web hosting you are expected to have the "best stack" with a commonly used commercial control panel, security software or stuff like CloudLinux (an…

What type of management exactly are you looking for?

Sent you a PM kind sir.

(Quote) How it goes everywhere. Many say Contabo is bad, and I thought it was well enough that I run my a mail server on them now. That Atom CPU is shit though, but that's a diff story.

(Quote) No. It'd be nice, but also it would let users store ISOs on hypervisors, might be an issue for hypervisors with lower space for images.

(Quote) Admin side you can add ISO from URL easily. BSD works fine with the proper template configuration. I have the latest FreeBSD from the official cloud image working perfectly.

(Quote) SolusVM and OpenVZ have a bug that shows massive incorrect bandwidth use, not sure the cause, I haven't used OpenVZ in a very long time so if I knew I forgot at this point.

Don't do the commitments just for the discount, contracts are bad.

(Quote) The OVH Eco page will list servers to buy no matter stock. I thought it was a good idea at first so bought two servers, after waiting a few days I asked about my orders and they said it may take up to 30 days to complete, so they're likely j…

(Quote) Damn, that blows.

(Quote) no, I setup one briefly to install/test a panel, but didn't use it more than a few hours so I couldn't comment on Hetzner cloud.

HostDime Miami would be $58/m for 2 vCPU, 2GB RAM, 100 GB SSD, 10TB BW. Vultr is in Miami and is probably a reliable option and much more affordable..

IPv6 only ok?

(Quote) Sorry, the website is correct. 10, 25, 50 hosted domains.

I've never used NordVPN but still happy with Privateinternetaccess... You can find some good deals, I still have 2-3 years left on mine and paid under $80 or something stacking promos.

(Quote) The beauty of adding new OS cloud images in like 10 seconds. Just played around with 22.04, works as expected.

Just to be sure you may want to boot into a rescue image (the new panel has SystemRescueCD and Netboot ISO for you to boot into any OS live CD) and configure both IPs, to be sure both IPs work when configured in a rescue/live system.

Thank you guys. OpenVZ feels like forever ago now.

(Quote) Any service can be transferred, just open a ticket.

(Quote) Nah, but OVH has a good deal in Sydney honestly. $23 for 8GB RAM, 160GB NVMe, 1Gbps (a few TB bw) on their normal VPS line.

(Quote) I already have a Special plan in Europe, so no. The Special plans are just offered usually one in each region (US, Canada, Europe general, and likely one in Singapore sometime in the future).
