(Quote) Time will tell. I'd assume many EU companies will have to deal with this question. If they're not going to disclose their strategy though, it's just guessing. If they made profits and invested them in the past years since launch (9 years) th…

(Quote) Support just replied that all data is hosted in DCs in Germany as per their Privacy Policy where it is stated that (Quote) https://koofr.eu/privacy/

(Quote) Cthulu.mp4 has been submitted for you.

(Quote) Iirc they are using Hetzner and perhaps others. Data gets stored on at least 3 servers within EU according to https://koofr.eu/blog/posts/how-safe-are-my-files-on-koofr (Quote)

(Quote) No recurring fees is also tempting, though. Plus, in my case I wouldn't need more storage.

(Quote) Yeah, the 20% off pricing is already awesome. Especially, if you only want to grab a small 100GB plan for your photos or if you run out of free gdrive storage. Given that I paid 150€+ for pCloud 500GB, the 112$ aren't bad either.

(Quote) Yeah, should be worth waiting in this case. Anyway, I hope the thread is still helpful, for informative reasons :D Also 20% isn't so rare on Stacksocial, so if it's not 40$ on BF, I guess 20% could still be in it.

(Quote) You can also use it for WP backups: https://koofr.eu/blog/posts/how-to-backup-your-wordpress-site-to-koofr-with-webdav Using XCloner (as in the tutorial) or any other WebDAV supported backup plugin :) @bikegremlin extra backup storage for …

(Quote) Seems quite good :) The download of the test file from Hetzner took me like 10 minutes. Uploading it to Koofr was like 7 minutes. Download from Koofr was 3 minutes. @root what speed do you get?
-
(Quote) Not sure it'll get that cheap again, but perhaps around the 90$ish :) @ehab @root 1GB test file just finished uploading : Click

(Quote) Update: My Deal back then seems to have been a BF offer on Stacksocial @ehab @root (Image)

(Quote) I don't remember them running any better BF deals (not on their original website that is). Would probably come down to whether Stacksocial gets a 40% off all software coupon and whether it will be applicable to the Koofr "item" (so…

(Quote) Even though it's a bit older now, the Trinity Kit is still part of my rescue USB-collection: (Image)

(Quote) Not bad, but probably better for another use case and/or target audience. VPN Providers these days provide lots of conveniences, re-route traffic to unblock streaming, have nice gimmicks (WS ROBERT) and a vast range of locations. Also no mai…

There's also the Trinity Rescue kit: https://trinityhome.org/

Good read! Thanks mate :)

Looking great! Thanks for sharing @bikegremlin :)

VPN Unlimited is my favourite lifetime vpn. Can only recommend :) FastestVPN is cheaper but also quite decent. Ivacy works very well for unblocking streaming.

(Quote) Congratz mate!

(Quote) Ah, that's quite decent, actually. Internxt wasn't that fast for me :P Anyway, in it for the long run, so let's see how they improve (or vanish) over time :P
-
(Quote) Yeah, many coupons still work. 15 connections is more than enough, too. Just take that one :)
-
(Quote) 20$ for lifetime is budget imgo https://fastestvpn.com/lifetime. On Stacksocial you often even get it for 13-18$ish

(Quote) I could be wrong, but this is probably due to the nature and technical challenges of providing zero knowledge encryption. Internxt (also Zero Knowledge) is also awfully slow on upload/download due to the encryption taking place.
