We don't know why people still abuse a ≈$1/year/VPS product. In many currencies, even in a developing country, this is still a non-trivial amount. Unless they are underaged and don't have their own online form of payment yet.

https://gmi.skyjake.fi/lagrange A client for the newly developed Gemini protocol (not the AI by Google). Gemini is basically the modern version of gopher. Everything there is text based, no fancy scripts. Reminds me of a quieter internet.

Maybe framework laptop is up your alley. But our personal preference would be a cheap used business laptop + much powerful (also used) server hardware. As much as budget allows.
