Among the free options I use/have used are HetrixTools, StatusCake, FreshPing, Montastic. Naturally each has some drawbacks so that there's a reason for people to upgrade to the paid plan.

The ticket opened on Saturday was for billing, which rarely (at any provider) works on the weekend. They answered next business day. So far you're not backing up your claims.
