Do I need to create an account to see the offerings?
Good question and the answer is no. You can see the plans on the website at https://vivehosting.com/ but keep in mind that the promos in this thread give you HUGE recurring savings over the prices listed on the site.

Honestly, the I/O on HDD is really low, even at 1m block size
Would you mind opening a support ticket with us? Those HDD figures are significantly lower than they should be.Let's get you migrated to a different storage node and we'll investigate why those numbers are like that.
Thought I'd give you a 2nd chance.
a. Login to portal frequently doesn't get past the verify stage: "Verifying..."
b. Still no ISO/netboot.xyz provision.
c. noVNC console doesn't connect. (Ticket opened - K59BM)
In stasis until the shitposting stops/abates.
Than=compare;then=sequence:brought=bring;bought=buy:staffs=pile of sticks:informations/infos=no plural. It wisnae me! A big boy done it and ran away. || NVMe2G for life! until death (the end is nigh).
@ViveHosting said: @mizzik I'd love to give you all dedicated NVMEs but for £15/py what do you realistically expect
These are storage servers built for bulk storage/backups, not lightning fast IO.

Thanks for the ticket (and for that 2nd chance).
We've seen your ticket, already looking into it. Console access is working fine generally on our end so looking into why this is impacting you. As for those additional boot options, it's in the pipeline. I believe we're launching ISO support first, expected in the next week or two.
@mizzik said: @rpqu we knew those hard drives were old
They're not, actually. This node I believe is all 22TB drives we reluctantly purchased brand new around 3-4 years ago.
We have had a failure about a year ago so we swapped one out with a refurb replacement but otherwise they're running great.
The performance issue isn't drive degradation, it's something else. We're actively working on this.
But yeah - this is a shared storage server, we're not giving every tenant raw R/W speeds to these, that's a recipe for disaster.
