I am considering making a special section for offers under $15 per year, real Low End Spirit offers.

I am also considering setting up a micro tier for TierHive to give away tiny instances with ultra-shrunk and optimised OS templates.

Would be lovley to do this on a fleet of LES servers.

What do you know? What do you have?

Only rule: under $15 per year!

Just speaking for myself, with age I've become more inclined to be wary of offers that are under $15 / year (with some exceptions)

There's actually a decent amount. Most of them are... questionable at the very least. But they are there. Almost none of it worth using in the production, but that depends on what sort of production you need.

Mostly EU deals. Not in the particular order. I'm not including NAT, "LEB under $1/month", and the deals which are rare accessible.

Well, I did say they are questionable for a reason.

Nevertheless I don't see the reason to completely disregard them. It is not rare to have a lite task which doesn't require perfect uptime, but do prefer public IPv4.

It's fine if it's not your case, and I've no plans to defend any of listed hosters.

Just to clarify that your list is fine and useful as such, but (again, just speaking for myself) I feel less tempted by such offers than I used to feel (based on some not-so-smooth experiences in the past)

Not sure if it's right place (probably not), but IPv6 only deals could be way way more tempting with NAT64 by default. And, for some reason, almost no hosters do this.

Yean, I can setup CF warp myself. Or just use public 64 gate. But I need to have some knowledge to do so. And those who is competent enough usually (not always) can afford few bucks more.

So why those offers exists is a big puzzle for me.

Those who know how already do it themselves. The rest are a support time-suck making an already tiny margin go negative.

The show is Hell's Kitchen, where chefs compete for a chance to be a chef at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants. It is a pretty trash reality show with over hyped drama for the sake of the cameras.

IMHO the Kitchen Nightmare the UK version was a MUCH better and wholesome show where he seemed to actually genuinely care about the people and tried to help them turn around their failing restaurants. (The US version leaned more into the his angry yelling persona and more reality tv garbage and viral moments.)

If you ever watch one, I suggest the UK Kitchens Nightmares.

Velbert, near Düsseldorf - somewhat OK as alternative to all the other German hosts in Frankfurt.

They migrated in April this year from myLoc to a new DC. My guess is that they moved to the newly opened NETMOUNTAINS DC.

Know little about the provider though, never tried this one.

I cannot recommend Servitro unless "cheap" matters above all else, and "broken with barely any support" is acceptable.

I got a $20/year VPS from them earlier in the year and it has had a couple of outages so far with very slow response to tickets, and horrific oversell / terrible performance. I've basically given up on using it and have spun up a different one on a different provider.

I've discussed these issues over on LET, here's a couple of links. First, to an outage that I think was poorly handled. And a couple of comments of mine with (incredibly poor) YABS results, comment one and then comment two.

The short version on the YABS results: Single core GB6 result of 361 in early February, 326 in mid-March. For comparison, I also have a very old-cheap Dedicated Core i3 540 (via Oneprovider) and that gets a single-core GB6 score of 464. And that Core i3 540 CPU was new in 2010.

I agree with that. C-Servers seem to be under active development and expansion. Will have to see if I want to try another provider.

I’ve tried a bunch of smaller providers. Some end up being idlers and end up being cancelled after the initial period.

I've been using them for over a year with no issues. Running two separate instances (one OpenBSD, the other NetBSD).
