.com prices will increase on November 1st

edited 8:40AM in General

Just in case you haven't yet heard:

Starting November 1, 2026, Verisign will increase wholesale prices for .COM domains by $0.71.

If you want to avoid this price increase, you should renew your .com domains before November 1st

(My info is from Cosmotown)

"A single swap file or partition may be up to 128 MB in size. [...] [I]f you need 256 MB of swap, you can create two 128-MB swap partitions." (M. Welsh & L. Kaufman, Running Linux, 2e, 1996, p. 49)

Well to be fair, inflation is real, prices need to go up, the real problem is wages are apparently ok to not go up with inflation haha.

    Fair enough:

    • Verisign's current wholesale price is $10.26 per year, which will increase to $10.97 per year on November 1st (i.e., +$0.71 per year)

Might be a UK thing. Here workers are getting paid literally twice as much as in 2022, of course everything else cost about twice as much so it seems about right. Oddly gas, LP, and electric has gone up less than most anything else. /derail

P.S.: Thread moved from Domain Sales to General.

In Spain we are living crisis which is permanent from 2007 inflation going Up but salaries are alwsys going back respect the inflation. @AnthonySmith have said inflation going Up but salaries are going Up at slow levels . Probably real inflation is 7-9% salaries if going Up may be 2-3% . So UK and Spanish reality is pretty similar respect that

I believe in good luck. Harder that I work ,luckier i get.

Yeah.. since about 2008 haha, we never recovered.

Meanwhile 90% of jobs are advertised at 25-30k and rent is 1200... Maths ain't matching and they wonder why the native population birth rate is through the floor.
