I think the concerns was not so much that, it is the fact that the company that bought PIA (you know those people that claimed to have principals) is owned by an ex Israeli spy who has been in constant trouble for malware and generally exploiting people on mass for profit (not in a good way).

Again, not saying that should put you off, but its good to have choice in position of information.
