@SmallWeb started this project to gather and provide free KB articles for Blesta. Thought I would share the project on here, too.

Link to project: https://makemykb.com/

@SmallWeb How is the project getting along?

Interested to have this for more then Blesta?
A section for WHMCS KB articles?
Another section for ”other” KB software?

Nice of you to post boss :)

If anyone saw before, you'll notice the template change. I threw up makemykb.com with Bootstrap 4.1 for simplicity. Notes would be appreciated!

In terms of the articles, you can follow development at https://blesta.makemykb.com/client/plugin/support_manager/knowledgebase/

There are about 110-120. I have been rather occupied with SmallWeb recently but I am still looking to fully release a polished version in 2020. :)

Originally it was WHMCS only, I switched to Blesta personally and changed the idea around.

Once it's to a polished state I will rethink it. I have had some offers from other software companies to convert the articles for added support.

I find it a nice project and would like to offer my help in converting or perhaps ideas on other topics.

    We lost the development install!

    It's back up here: https://dev.makemykb.com/client/plugin/support_manager/knowledgebase/

105 articles. I wonder how many I'm personally happy with? Like 10.. 20.

Anywho, I'm slowly ramping up, going through each article, fixing, expanding and adding new content.

I would realistically like to get this out there, whether it's perfect or not as soon as possible. Suggestions and fixes are welcome :)

Been dragging my ass to create DA kb's. Hopefully that answers your question :)

I am open to converting it to WHMCS, ClientExec etc..

Problem is I don't want to develop multiple versions if I can't even complete the first

So yes, it will happen but only once this version is polished enough I can just convert it over without having to worry about manual edits.

Just save it as a .docx so those people looking for SEO can lift it directly and post on DO for creditZ.

What about putting it up to GitHub, so everyone can collaborate?

I started developing MakeMyKB over two years ago to provide knowledge base articles that can be seemlessly imported in to WHMCS and then Blesta. Unfortunately I was never able to gain true momentum in developing the project and as such it has been transferred in it's entirety to a party in which I 100% trust it with. I hope to see a promising future for the project, but alas it will not be managed by me anymore.

I will be devoting the time normally spent procrastinating on this project to my others like SmallWeb, SmallVPS and my personal committments. Thanks to everyone that shared feedback and gave me spurts of motivation when I posted about it.

Thank you for the kind words and for putting your trust in my hands.
I've managed to do a few things so far :)
    1. The webpage has been updated and moved
    2. Trying to get my hands on a working Blesta install to test the waters.
    3. I've created a GitHub repository where all the files will eventually end up.

Plans for the future (in no particular order)
    1. See what's already been done, sort out what is what among all the files :+1:
    2. Install script/manual for adding the categories & articles.
    3. implement the same categories & articles in WHMCS.
    4. instructions on how to update/add newly created articles.
    5. allow others to contribute to the project.
    6. update GitHub with a structure.
    7. plan for future development

That's all for now, have a good one
