Edit: Back now. Down for 9 min, vps 1 min uptime. So looks like FFM rebooting, a fix has just been foudn for some issues and applied would be my guess/hope?
Yeah I spoke with them, they decided to make some changes to improve overheating. I did still check logs and it looks like servers across the board at same time(s) experienced heat events so I assume it has somewhat to do with the facility but the changes they made did make improvements.
It wasn't really my call, but it's better it was done if facility is going to continue facing potential random heat waves.
A few others were getting to dangerous levels. I'm discussing what was going on and what they did to improve it but the tech working on it stayed overnight so I wasn't going to keep him up at like 6AM. He probably just wanted to get it done with and didn't ask for confirmation on reboots. Out of all the techs out there, I do trust his judgement.

That does remind me though, I did manage to move from ATL to CHI with the vm I had instafail before btw. You had said you'd look into it but not responded back with any change, so I just tried it yesterday or day before (forget which, still foggy from pain/painkillers and sleeping weird schedule, days run together lol). So either you fixed something or whatever was blocking mine at least cleared up on it's own.

Actually your right, and that was something that I gained from this series of events. I am no longer just a member here who can speak my mind as I did previously. As a mod I need to take a large step back from participating in this thread and just step in if it becomes a total shit show or if someone is breaking the rules. In the future I will leave it to other members to provide the commentary. Thank you.

I am among luckiest ones. My DE and NL nodes are doing relatively well apart from some downtime every now and then so i am not complaining, but I understand than there are more than a few clients (legit clients!) who don't have same luck and with no response to their tickets they feel abandoned.
Anyway, like said, I don't want to start something but jumping at him just because he's not part of a merry bunch isn't right. His expressed opinion is as legit as your or mine.

20% downtime over 3 months = 18~ day of downtime, on two or more services. That's at least 36 total days of credit, I'll even triple it for you so 108 days but it has to be 2+ servers and 17+ days of downtime.
Actually I'll just add a year of service to all of them 20%+ downtime if it matches our monitors which I'll publish here if it doesn't.
I'm guessing what's more likely to have happened is there was an outage, you didn't check outage page, you reinstalled OS immediately, it broke, and everyone went back online and you didn't but that's just a guess. We'll see I guess if you want me to check.

I want to chime in here and say @drizbo is the type of feedback/comment I find to be completely fine. Not that I make the rules but there's a clear difference between presenting something versus just spamming the same thing over and over and he hasn't done that.

If it was closed without a reply (and not a reply by a bot, which we already made clear was an auto reply in the reply) then it means either the issue is already resolved, or we're already aware and it's being fixed in the background, or that we already requested the ticket not be created in that manner on the page before you create the ticket.
I'm willing to review it if you believe it's any other case than that.
The thing is, your entire logic is that we are doing other things than fixing the issue so how are you saying you would rather we answer hundreds of people instead of fixing the issues? We don't just close a ticket if it's valid, opened per instructions, and requires a ticket. Perhaps you are saying a mistake was made, but I also assume you made more than one? Me personally? Oh, I am simple man. Just don't be a dick toward people, partial as you are, don't agree with and I will be okay ;-) You seems like a nice guy most of the time, but you have one weak spot... where I am sure you can do it better.

We listened. To lots of raging and zero details when we asked if there was a way we could help. That is not helpful to anyone at all and doesn't get them any further towards their goal unless that goal is just to stir up shit. If someone just wants to stir up shit, they can go away in my opinion.
If someone wants to stir up more shit by defending the person (without actually reading the full context) that was only here to rage, stir up shit and do a chargeback, I'm not sure they are really adding much either except adding to the post count in the thread and making more stuff for Virmach to catch up on and work through. That doesn't really help anyone either does it?
If you are only here to be negative and there really is no way to make you happy or try and help you even, then well, go join OGF or some other forum or go to the rants section here ( https://lowendspirit.com/categories/rants ) and rant your heart out. Same thing applies if you are going to cherry pick what you read & what you ignore of the situation then come to a conclusion without all of the facts.
I could have been nicer, I will admit. But when someone comes in and immediately starts flinging shit and refuses help, I kind of quickly doubt their real intention and really am not encouraged to try and help them again.

Can you show me where you genuinely tryed to help without being patronizing asshole toward the other poster? You're pretending so much that you're losing every sense for the reality. I haven't seen any help, but I saw several people jumping at him. And for what? Because he expessed all the frustrations with service he purcased? God forbid anyone doing that!
I want to chime in here and say @drizbo is the type of feedback/comment I find to be completely fine. Not that I make the rules but there's a clear difference between presenting something versus just spamming the same thing over and over and he hasn't done that.
I'm just here to be here. Not due to work obligations, and anything that needs to be officially communicated still goes through our site or email.
If it was closed without a reply (and not a reply by a bot, which we already made clear was an auto reply in the reply) then it means either the issue is already resolved, or we're already aware and it's being fixed in the background, or that we already requested the ticket not be created in that manner on the page before you create the ticket.
I'm willing to review it if you believe it's any other case than that.
The thing is, your entire logic is that we are doing other things than fixing the issue so how are you saying you would rather we answer hundreds of people instead of fixing the issues? Clearly you believe anything that is done with my time is valuable and should be spent on fixing the problem, yet you are coming here to take my time to address just you, and you want more of the time replying to your ticket.
We don't just close a ticket if it's valid, opened per instructions, and requires a ticket. Perhaps you are saying a mistake was made, but I also assume you made more than one? So multiple mistakes made? Or are you just creating the same ticket for an outage that is already on status page and being resolved?
