I would have thought the opposite; the brand carries a ton of baggage outside of their fan base.

  • I read something about VirMach on the OGF and came here to see if I was missing something. I am actually using one flash deal for a client and I didn't have backups up until Monday LOL

I'm actually migrating this client to another server, so this comes in a good moment. Not sure what will happen in the future, but I had 0 downtime since January (wasn't tracking that before).

  • There's an invoice for one of the VPS I'm using that I need to pay in less than two weeks. Obviously, I can pay it, but with the silence of this company, I have doubts about paying it and it could lead to a waste of money if the worst-case scenario happens. The VPS I have is so good that I can't find an alternative with a similar price range... Should I pay for it anyway or cancel the invoice and let the VPS "breath" for the last time?

    You probably saw me somewhere...

Personally, I'm taking it as my sign to move on. I'd just not pay the invoice and let it auto-terminate you. If some miracle has things back to normal before then, you can go pay the invoice then, and if not, at least you don't have to fight to get your money back. It's just a little too much radio silence for me to keep the faith that things will be okay this time, especially with things like the expired letsencrypt cert. I've got quite a few that are up for renewal around black friday, I'm going to pay for a $3 special for the lols, and let the other ~$275 go.
