Virmach has disappeared for months previously... he eventually turned up and flew around the world fixing stuff. I don't think there is any real reason for concern yet.

BF 2024 should be deadline... BUT, for me expired ssl = autopilot
We are pleased to assist with any refugee deals. Given our nine years of presence in the industry, you can be confident that we are here to stay and grow further, while we may not have been in business as long as Virmach, we are dedicated to providing excellent support and value.

I wouldn't price match their insane deals unless it's profitable or sensibly breakeven

If not the insane deals, what else remains?
Wait... does anyone have anything other than the 'insane deals'?
also, do you offer one month downtime without any explanation? cause thats what we are used to here...
(not complaining, i get 10-11 months of uptime for 1 month-equivalent of payment)
I read something about VirMach on the OGF and came here to see if I was missing something. I am actually using one flash deal for a client and I didn't have backups up until Monday LOL
I'm actually migrating this client to another server, so this comes in a good moment. Not sure what will happen in the future, but I had 0 downtime since January (wasn't tracking that before).
I have had one VirMach VM since 2018 and with mixed feelings I have to say that it has one of the highest uptimes I have ever had. Based on everything I have read over here it shouldn't be possible, but it is.

Obviously keep backups. There are definitely some unsettling things in Virmach at the moment. Just keep in mind OGF is a bit of a cesspool and they're attacking everybody. You know it's ugly when they start attacking RackNerd over there.

I was actually setting the backups at the time I read the post there, great timing tbh. I have seen some drama on HostHatch earlier, now Hetzner. OGF is definitely becoming worse in some aspects

There's an invoice for one of the VPS I'm using that I need to pay in less than two weeks. Obviously, I can pay it, but with the silence of this company, I have doubts about paying it and it could lead to a waste of money if the worst-case scenario happens. The VPS I have is so good that I can't find an alternative with a similar price range... Should I pay for it anyway or cancel the invoice and let the VPS "breath" for the last time?

Personally, I'm taking it as my sign to move on. I'd just not pay the invoice and let it auto-terminate you. If some miracle has things back to normal before then, you can go pay the invoice then, and if not, at least you don't have to fight to get your money back. It's just a little too much radio silence for me to keep the faith that things will be okay this time, especially with things like the expired letsencrypt cert. I've got quite a few that are up for renewal around black friday, I'm going to pay for a $3 special for the lols, and let the other ~$275 go.

If you let it terminated without paying, your credit score will get lower and either maxmind/ Fraudslab will be impacted.

high time to consider selling. the brand should still be worth something minus the hardware
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
I would have thought the opposite; the brand carries a ton of baggage outside of their fan base.
I love Virmach
I love hardware

I would be interested in infrastructure depending on the mess it is in and price. The name would be not an asset to me unfortunately.

So post the specs for your best offer with pricing included so we can assess it.
For eg:
We can do 4 cores, 4GB RAM, 60GB SSD, 1 IPv4, Shared 1G bandwidth @ $9/mo for Windows the same would be $14/mo
Readydedis, LLC - Managed Dedicated Servers | KVM SSD VPS | Hypervisor KVM Control Panel
did you mean $9/year? otherwise not very competitive

Been waiting for 1.5 months for a transfer ticket. Those were usually handled pretty fast.
