How easy is casa to set up? Tempted to use it to explore apps fast...and then deploy them on k3s/docker
very easy and usage is also breeze
but look at my issue i said above.
after few days, its panel is not opening...i changed ports, restarted casa service, even server...same issue.
on good side, since it is seperated from launched docker images, they run properly without any problems.
Yeah the 2nd thing I tried to install on casaos bombed too.
I'm currently trying to move everything to k8s just cause its super universal. Everything from my raspberry pi cluster to cloud can accept k8s yaml

but there is steep learning curve i guess.
if you are using modern hosting panels like aapnel, you get docker management with many images available inside panel.
also..since they seperate docker from main program (aapnel or casaos)... replacing with something else in easy.
After trying caprover for about 1-2 months, I can say that caprover "work as expected". Although its UI is not as good as casaos, I don't have technical issues. Also, already execute 1 minor update, it works as expected and new features appear. Looks stable enough for me.
One thing that become the downside is some of its one click apps is broken and need to manual investigation to put the correct environment variables or image version
