@VirMach even though I have enough credit balance in my account to cover the invoice when checking out my card gets charged and then a few seconds later that transaction gets voided, and then finally the credits get deducted. This has happened like 3 times now. I am not loosing anything but if there is a credit balance the card shouldn't be charged anyway.

The first checkbox says to apply credits first. I don't know I thought that was enough.
This is intentional.
Customer would think the payment fails and attempt to pay again.
System captures multiple payments, saves extra as store credit.
Only a subset of customers would ask for refund, which would be granted.
Others who don't notice give an interest-free loan.
