(Quote) reinstall OS should be the only reply support should give in these situations, because what these clients really need is managed hosting, but they do not want to pay for it so they want to show puppy dog eyes and hope support will fix their …

(Quote) it baffles me as to why people with very limited linux knowledge buy services with next to no support level and complain when they cannot configure things themselves. anyway, if you need some handholding, you can contact me via PM and I wil…

(Quote) most likely the new owners of the IP addresses have services on them, if they were the old Alibaba IP's they would never route to a Virmach service again since they are no longer routed to them....

I honestly do not expect SLA on my black friday, limited support services. they are already below retail prices so if it works 99% of the time, it is profit, unless someone is hosting a million dollar website on it...

(Quote) I would also like to note, selected self install, went to manually install, no ISO images.... no option to reinstall with anything else either :( edit: the rebuild button is there now.

@VirMach has been over loaded with coffee, super fast transfer queues today :)

Once VirMach left there, I stopped lurking there and moved here and found the community better. I do not even open their pages anymore as I have no need. while there are some memes (i truly hate them) this forum is not as polluted with them like th…

looks like the cheapest contabo meets the requirements (including avx), but it will be limited to 200mbps and slow IO, I honestly doubt anyone would be able to match the requirements considering you wanted a unmetered 1gbps last time.

(Quote) AlibabaCloud has not offered to renew the leasing contract, so new IP need to be sourced.

(Quote) this person is using a VPN in hetzner by the sounds of it.

one way around this, would be to use a cheap yearly VPS that you can get for $8-15 with wireguard, using gluetun on the plex server and the docker container using container mode networking to pass all outgoing plex requests via that VPS, then have…

I just wish Jellyfin had a better interface for the end users, it is very bland, I would have migrated long ago. but if this ends up being a issue with Plex, Jellyfin will get a large influx of users

your have 2 different IPv6 ranges, first one is a /128 that is your default route, then you have a second one thatis a /64 routed via your /128 so you need to have your /128 assigned for IPv6 to work

how are you configuring your network? ifupdown? or netplan?

(Quote) well said, could not say it any better.

It is a shame they are ending the life of the products, after the moving around at the start, it was a stable service for my needs. I have requested a refund as moving to a dedicated service listed above is not within my needs.
