its the same as ssh with ipv4 as long as you have ipv6 connectivity.

(Quote) They admitted they had a problem, explained the problem and are saying they are committed to trying to prevent these types of things in the future, what more did you want?

I think everything has been said already... everything works and works well..

Anyone use this DC before? Curious about network stability and DDOS protection.

Huge benefit of 2 day outage --- benchmark results double because the abusers haven't reloaded their stuff yet.

Virtual Confusion ?

@Virmach how about shipping those servers to LA and racking them there? sound good?
-
Every NYC server is down. Dedipath offline?
-
(Quote) Its still a great VPS and I'm happy with it, got it for $36 too.

wow, you like your birthday better than the anniversary of your company! Tempted as this looks like a much better deal than what I bought a few months ago, but cant justify 2 vps.

Anyone know if Virmach gains the '10 tbit ddos protection' in its Dedipath locations, that dedipath advertises now for dedipath vps and dedi customers?
-
@Mumbly are the 'known reasons' the concern that there is low tolerance for putting the CPU under load and leading to termination?

(Quote) I think there are some places where you could host on a single node and expect that you will be okay. Since the flash sale we've experienced multiple full location outages, IP addresses for multiple locations being dropped off the inter…

Anyone using the ryzen flash deals for serious production use? (where you would be losing money or reputation if they were offline.) Just trying to decide if i'm thinking about my $100+ worth of flash deals the right way. i.e. if its a fun toy…

What is the next location for a full outage?

When do the nodes I'm on go kaput? DALZ010 needed a reboot on Saturday, but everything else mostly OK.

Its a great selling point! permanently blocked smtp!

(Quote) Some sort of affiliate scheme. You have to sign up at the 'cashback' site and then you have to buy the VPN service through their affiliate links. I wouldn't suggest anyone use this type of thing without fully researching.

(Quote) I suppose its fine. I paid $15 about 3 years ago. I'm happy with it at that price. For $99 I would prefer to get 3-5 years at one of the top ranked providers and there are cashback schemes where you can get 100% or more of your money ba…

@Ympker just tried a bunch more combinations (IKEv2, OpenVPN, Wireguard with 4 different locations) and fastest I could find was 260mbit/sec --- Shutting VPN off I get 900mbit/sec easily and on PrivadoVPN (get it included free with something) I get…
-
I tried 6 different servers that are very close to me and very low latency and could only get around 120mbit/s tops, many servers in the 80-90 range. I currently use a vpn provider that is a 'free' add-on product to something else I subscr…

Have a hard time getting over 100mbit/sec with this, have some other VPNs I can get full gigabit with. But I did buy it back years ago when it was much cheaper and it always works and the software is nice. Do I need to get more than 100mbit/sec? no,…

How does this compare to the VPN Unlimited/KeepSolid $15 life time from years ago? I think I bought that due to one of your threads too :) ?

(Quote) Thanks, you worked magic and its back to being perfect.

@VirMach how about a look at ATLZ005? high pings, high packet loss and speeds are like 10mbit/sec tops.
-
@VirMach atlanta ryzen node 5 seems to be having massive packet loss and super high pings to gateway (and everywhere else). Can you please take a look? not sure if this is a $50 support ticket, so posting here.
-
(Quote) That is neat, it opens a ticket and then closes it telling you that your request was successful and it will take up to 24hrs to resolve. Maybe they could disable the fake feature.

@VirMach is there any chance to get rdns requests actioned? I tried the rdns button a few weeks ago and it said it did stuff but i dont think it really did anything.

Anyone know what location the Chicago VMs get provisioned on? CHI or CHI2 ?
-
Lets go back to the days where you could get a 16 core vps in Buffalo with 12GB of ram for $70 !

@MikeA over at ExtraVM has various plans with unmetered bandwidth. Very reliable.
