(Quote) I am seeing two ifs in your post, and they both are difficult things. What you've posted about, worry about it once you've built the product, it's taken off, and is heading towards the 50k domain mark. Focusing on building th…

(Quote) It sounds a lot like Headless WP .

@gooblermaster It seems you do have to pay the USD 0.2 - the ICANN fee. I'll update the post. I had forgotten about that, sorry.

(Quote) Does this mean I can only upload 15gb of the 20gb?
-
(Quote) The maximum is 20Gb. I signed up using the first link and got 20gb as soon as i signed up. Did some of the steps, like uploading documents, downloading desktop and mobile apps. That didn't increase my storage. Asked a friend to sign up …

I got their $4 plan a while back. I wanted to see and test ipv6, and from that point i think it's good. My vps has been recreated once, and I haven't had any other hiccup. It works, and i'm pretty confident they aren't going to r…

If you're looking for a simple, clean and lightweight option: Filegator But, depends on what you need it for. Nextcloud does a ton of things.

Check out Azure for Students.

Saw someone with a '30 day free VPS' signature on OGF. Don't remember who. Writing a review gave you an extra 6 months, I think. Maybe you could search for that. You could also check out free tiers of cloud providers. Link

(Quote) Koyeb has changed some things around, it seems, and has implemented something called scale-to-zero. Link (Quote) The scale-to-zero thing seems to have gone into effect on 5th March, and any service created before seems to be working fine. A…

@brauni @short_dot Mine's working fine. I created my UptimeKuma instance while writing the post, so I didn't do anything different. I'll ask if anything's changed.
-
It's a bit of a hassle, but you can use Koyeb's free plan. It's in my signature.

@daffy I did look at the website. And at @jcn50 's profile. He meets the requirements, if I were to go by the website. (Quote) I wanted to see if the requirements had changed, or if there was anything not mentioned. I should have been more c…

Wait, what are the requirements??

(Quote) I don't know how they are in other places, but it's hella slow here. I uploaded the same file to Hostbrr storagebox and Mega, and I was able to get files to the storagebox about 3 times quicker. the file was around 5 gigs or so. al…

For transactional emails: Brevo has free 3,000 email per month. Zoho has pay-as-you-go tier. you get 10,000 emails for free. I have no idea about LET email providers, and what they might be able to offer.

(Quote) No free server to host YunoHost unfortunately. But, how good is YunoHost? Would you recommend it?

Installing the memory and preview generator apps allowed me to see the previews on Android. You could give that a try. Installing just one might also do the trick, I haven't checked.

(Quote) I was looking for something with, like 250 to 500 gig. Grabbed the Hostbrr storagebox. I've had issues, but I'm happy with the purchase.

@Hyp0901 Hi Kevin, welcome to LES. I have also been thinking of documenting what I've learnt since joining LES. Do share what you write.
-
Thanks for the recommendation, guys. Was looking for something with compute, but caved in nonetheless. Couldn't resist.
-
@Otus9051 Totally would, but I know next to nothing about hosting. Thanks, tho

I am also on the lookout for a small storage vps for around $20/y. I have seen AlphaVPS and Servarica recommended. What other providers should I look out for?
-
(Quote) I have no idea. Thought @Amadex was being humorous for a moment. But the demo video looks fine. I've been thinking of checking it out this saturday. I'll let you know how it goes.

(Quote) Yes, it's apparently real. Looks like an alternative to elementor.

This offer has 1 year free over on LET. Why not here? Also can NVMe be swapped for more SATA storage?

(Quote) Depends on your userbase, but i doubt 90% of the people even care about the domain suffixes. I have found older people to have more resistance with non standard tlds but others take it with stride. Also, putting the morality aside, if I buy…

(Quote) Wait, now I am confused. There are hosts that offer ipv4 vps for like $10. How are they still running?
-
It doesn't matter that much what tld you use, especially if it isn't for commercial use. And even for commercial, most people have gotten used to other tlds with .io, .ai being used regularly nowadays. So try getting a .com first and if it…
